forgot to add one last afterthought.

obviously in Korean society, from what we've seen, there's one expression that they
must never have heard of: when you're in any sort of business, "the customer is always
right" (for the most part).

well, in theory, Hackshield prevents many with notebooks (which is many of those
having issues rather than PC/Mac) players), or low level CPUs from running NF for
whatever reason.

secondly, the most severe cases tend to involve Windows 7 for some reason, and
the 2nd most severe are Vista (which brings into question where HS is fully
compatable with newer OS programs or is somewhat obsolete back in the XP era or
older generations).

conspiracy theory wise?

well, you could take your pick,
-faulty translation of the instructions for installing the HS program
-sloppy installation & programing, let alone the many, some would say, amateurish
attempts at fixing the outstanding issues
to any other possible concept & ideas.

of course, since none of us are really in the inner circle of SDE to explain just what
went wrong, we can only assume with what they're doing or what's gone wrong.

solutions?

*shrugs*

the most logical would be to completely remove HS temporarily from the game, tinker
with it some more and see if they can't get it running smoothly on the test server
before re-introducing it to the servers at large. of course, SDE's likely paid a licensing
fee to use the program, so the cost of losing players would have be significant to
make them want to remove it, even temporarily.

and even if they did fix it, there's some players that won't play out of the simple fact
that they don't want "big brother", or "possible hacking capabilities from such a
program being on the computer", and so forth. which is their right as a consumer not
to want to deal with SDE under such conditions, and thusly, not play the game.
