For me on Vista, I had this same issue, except it was the DEP that was the problem. Give
it a shot....

OK First off have you removed the game and folder and done a full reinstall?
Second are you running the launcher as Admin?
What else is running when you start the game?

Okay, so i try both suggestions but still nothing, when ever i start navy field it shows
up on my task manager for about a half a second and then goes away. No black screen,error,
or anything

do you get a black screen instead of the usual NF loading?

I run XP myself and I get this frequently, although it's only been since the 2 "fix"
patches for HS were added.

little trick that can help with that. run something in the background (Vent, a
messenger window, a game of freecell, anything really).

then, when you get the black screen (assuming it's the issue), you can use the
windows key to get you to the main screen & the pop up start menu. ctrl-alt-del and
you can "end program" for NF (which of course, now says "program not responding")

it may take several tries to get it to actually load properly (2 on a good day, maybe
4-6 on a bad day).

just beware if NF stop loading during the loading screens (the loading icon stops
moving and you can't alt-tab or anything out of it).

then you'll have to reboot and start all over.

sometimes though, give it a few seconds and it'll click in without alt-tab/window
key'ing out though.

Did you add the game to your DEP list? If you didn't that may be the cause of your problems
