FuhrerII -2x4-31,5'' ,30knts,700.000t BB6*

In "Grand Fleet" the Friedrich der Gros? is launched with much fanfare, Hitler attending
as usual. This "Tirpitz" with larger guns was almost undoubtedly the world's best
battleship at the time of completion in 1942, rivalling the Japanese Satsuma and the
now-defunct French Alsace. Before any sister ships were laid down Hitler insisted on an
even larger ship with the unheard-of gun caliber of 21 inches (probably just to go the
Japanese one step further)! Tirpitz loss in battle to an obsolescent Russian
Battleship made Hitler furious and he insisted that this new design be unsinkable.

Fuhrer was an enormous ship, needing so much draft that most of the rivermouth harbors of
Germany could not allow her to dock. Her mixed Diesel/steam propulsion was fed to
propellors in a reinforced "tunnel drive" so that no torpedo could prematurely disable her.
Steering was done by rudders in conjunction with the retractable Voith-Schneider
steering propellors mounted in the hull. Special provision-loading "troopships" followed
her around to her ports-of-call just to keep her supplied and to take personnel ashore.
Hitler took Mussolini out on "his" ship for a "dinner cruise" in the Baltic, and was
pleased that, for the first time, a ship held steady enough for him to not feel the least
bit queasy. (His admirals had promised him that the Fuhrer's great size and beam would
eliminate most rolling and pitching, but since when did Hitler ever listen to them anyway?).

After working up with the Fleet off Norway, Fuhrer rested in Troms's fjord and waited
for an Allied convoy to appear.
The Kreigsmarine had botched a previous encounter with an Allied battlefleet in the
NorthSea and so infuriated Hitler that he sent forth all his remaining heavy ships to do
battle and "die proudly" or be scuttled. He called on "his"ship to come lead the
Kreigsmarine to victory.
Fuhrer and two smaller ships (what wasn't smaller?) battled the USS Montana,
Saint Andrew, and two other British battleships.
Predictably, the Allies ignored the lesser ships and concentrated on Fuhrer, a huge target
hard to miss. Fuhrer blew up the Montana and two other battleships, meanwhile taking
manyhits. It looked like the Fuhrer would make a clean sweep of the Allied warships when a
salvo from Saint Andrew hit her, and Fuhrer is vanished in fog. Later on it was discovered
that
Norwegian patriots had planted charges under her keel and magazines while in Troms' Fuhrer
had left port five hours ahead of the time set to detonate and the shell hit from Saint
Andrew had set it off critical damaged. In spite of the great "victory" of destroying
three large battleships of their enemy, the Kreigsmarine had "failed" Hitler once again,
and he fired every admiral except Donitz the next day.

guns of H-44-equal(high guns)transfer to H-39 BB4* and add Kaizer to BB5*

Montana's maiden war cruise was an uneventful escort of a Arkangelsk-bound convoy. Not
long after that, the "Last Great Sortie" by the surface forces of the Kriegsmarine was at
hand. Battleships Montana, Massachusetts, Saint Andrew and Duke of York, the "A" team of
Allied gunships, was on an interception course to prevent German battlewagons from cutting
off a convoy leaving Iceland for Russia. In the North Sea the opposing forces met, and a
huge maelstrom of smoke and gunflash began. Every Allied ship concentrated on the lead
German ship and the "Big Sky" battleship's second salvo knocked a huge piece of Fuhrer's
upperworks onto her "Caesar" turret, putting it out of action. Fuhrer deftly ranged in on
Montana and massive 31" shells hit home on the third salvo. Three rapid-fire detonations
split the air like a thunderclap, and Montana from forecastle to fantail simply
disappeared, leaving a big piece of sky where the ship had been.

Odin 2x2-15 28knt 47.000t hybrid line CV5*

He compromise worked out consisted of a Bismarck-sized ship with twin 15" turrets up front
and about twenty-four planes in an armored hangar. The short angled deck and elevator
setup made for speedy recoveries but slow launchings due to the neccessity of using catapults.

Odin had just finished working up in the Baltic in July 1939, when she was ordered to head
for South America immediately. Thus when war broke out, Odin was off the Plate estuary and
was spotted by British carrier aircraft from the trade-protection carrier Venerable. An
exchange of airstrikes found the British CVL in sinking condition when Odin approached to
finish her off with her guns. Odin's captain wondered why the light cruiser accompanying
Venerable was hanging around until he realized that the CL was stalling for time while
heavy gunships in the area converged. The Odin broke off combat as the French
battlecruiser Dunkerque appeared over the horizon. Here was the situation that the French
relished and the Germans feared a faster ship with all guns forward chasing a slower ship
with all guns forward. If Odin tried to stall the closing of range by running, she was
unable to shoot aft at her adversary whilst her adversary could shoot with all her main
armament. If Odin turned to bring her guns to bear, the range would diminish quickly and
the increased firepower of the eight French 13" guns might soon overwhelm her. Since the
choices seemed to be to die fighting or die fleeing, the Odin turned towards Dunkerque and
the fight began in earnest. Dunkerque was hit, but not mortally. Odin, however, was hit
repeatedly until her belt was pierced and her engine rooms flooded. The Dunkerque then
manuvered around to the rear to mask the guns of Odin and finished off the
"Grossflugdeckkreuezer"later one XXI-type is blow up the victory of Dunkerque.

Aratama 2x3-18'' 35knts 42.000t BB4*new line

Aratama went on the Pearl Harbor raid and was the first capital ship to break through the
Malay Barrier in Japan's drive to Ceylon. She was always by the side of Shokaku, even in
death. Both were sunk in the great carrier battle off the Solomons. When Aratama's greater
turning radius put her increasingly isolated from the rest of the twisting fleet she
became an easy target to hit, but tough to sink, taking seven torpedoes and twelve bombs.
As the fleet twisted back on itself, the battered Shokaku pulled alongside her "Geisha"
and they both slowly sank together.

Kii 2x3-18'' 31knt 49.000t BB4*

Kii bombarded Chinese cities on her maiden voyage, and later accompanied cruiser Ashigara
to Britain's Coronation Naval Review in 1937. Kii became the hot topic of any naval
conversation.
In the summer of 1940 Russia assisted and allowed the massive Kii to use the
Polar Route from Japan to Germany to test the feasibility of transferring future large
Soviet warships to the Pacific via the shortest route. Once in Baltic waters, Japan's
premier battleship remained idle for more than a year as neither the British nor Soviets
would allow Kii to pass their country's controlled waters again. When Japan declared war
on the Soviet Union in early 1942, Kii's 18" guns went up against a newly-completed Krasny
Tovarishch, also with 18" guns. Russian inexperience and Kii's torpedoes gave her an
victory as the heavily damaged K.T. struggled back to Leningrad to sit out the war.

Breaking out into the North Atlantic with the Tirpitz, Kii headed south, rounded the Cape
of Good Hope, then headed east to rendezvous with a Japanese Striking Force steaming west
from the Seychelles. Out of range of either Japanese or Allied aircraft, the Greek
battleship Salamis engaged Kii but was clearly outmatched and sank before any Allied help
could arrive. The delaying action enabled Hawker Henley carrier dive bombers from HMS
Excalibur to swarm over the lone Kii and put her out of commission before Japanese
interceptors could intervene. When the main Japanese fleet was turned back, Allied carrier
bombers returned to the wallowing Kii and finished her off at leisure.

Yokozuna 3x4-18,1'' 31knts 88.000t BB5 equal of SuperYamato BB5*

The objections of Japan's 'battleship admirals' to the carrier conversion of older
battleships Owari and Tosa were only slightly offset by the carrier-to-battlecruiser
conversion of Aratama. The 'gun club' felt slighted again when a mighty Satsuma-class
battleship under construction was sacrificed and stretched to make the CV Yonaga. Still,
the extra speed and size attained could work for a battleship, too, the 'gun club'
surmised. The huge 20"-gunned Satsuma was almost done, now, and another of its kind started.
Four large battleships, slightly smaller versions of Satsuma with triple 18"gun
turrets, rather than twin 20", were authorized, and two had been started. Now, though, the
Navy officials were leaning towards carrier conversions for those as well.
Afraid that their battleship building program might be altogether curtailed, the 'black
shoes' proposed to combine the materials set aside for the upcoming Settsu and Yamato to
make a super battleship of nearly 90,000 tons, and to dedicate the leftovers for a light
carrier conversion to appease the aviators. The resulting BB Yokozuna had the stretched
hull and machinery of Yonaga but with additional bulges and tonnage that reduced speed.
The 18"-gun manufacturing program was in full swing after minor setbacks, but the 20"
program had faltered due to a massive earthquake. Although two twin 20"-gun turrets were
available, the three needed for Settsu or the four proposed for Yokozuna were
unobtainable. One possibility was for a split battery fore-and-aft of 20" in front, and
18" in the stern. Though the 'black shoes' were reluctant to reduce the caliber of
armament, especially in light of the German Fuhrer project, the more pragmatic and timely
approach put four triple 18" turrets on board. Japanese divers had recovered the
fire-control radar apparatus from the sunken South Dakota in shallow waters, and amazed
Japanese technicians cobbled together a system for Yokozuna that worked, at least
innpractice firings.
The Satsuma became known in the Japanese press as 'Sumo' and, of course, the Yokozuna was
the 'Grand Champion.' Together they formed Battleship Division 1 as the Philippines was
being threatened. On their only sortie together, they took a pounding from U.S. aircraft
and ten torps of tench us subs in the Sibuyan Sea. Seeming to turn back, they and their
cruiser consorts reformed and, at night, got among the escort carriers and Marines landing
at Leyte and thoroughly disrupted the invasion attempt. Lightly plated American ships were
sieved by armor-piercing 18" and
20" shells that detonated after passing through their hulls. As 'the world wonder[ed]',
Admiral Halsey dispatched Washington, Indiana, New Jersey, and Iowa to intercept the
Japanese force at the San Bernardino Strait. In the last surface action between
battleships, the 'little' American battleships showered the two Japanese giants with 16"
shells. Indiana was sunk, and both Iowa-class ships were badly damaged one sink, but
'Sumo' and 'Grand Champion' had been wrestled and stay in repair out of war.

Gascone upgrade guns in 2x4-16'' 30knts 37.000t BB4*

This French battlecruiser, similar in tonnage to the Clemenceau-class battleships, had the
more traditional gun arrangement of turrets fore and aft. Her armor was thinner and more
spread out than Clemenceau's but she was three knots faster (VTS rating of "early"
Gascogne = 4 4 7). She was being given increased armor and underwater protection
bulges in Toulon when war broke out. She escaped to Gibraltar and participated in Force"H"
as Free French. Always attracting German aircraft that would seriously damage her before
combat, Gascogne missed out on many engagements. The British Admiralty swore that it
always seemed so "convenient" for Gascogne to miss the fight. Considered an "unlucky"ship,
she was loaded with test animals and used in the Bikini Atoll A-bomb tests.

Superb 2x3-20'' 35knts 46.000 BB5*new line

Prior to the War, Superb and her CV "sister" Incomparable staged an impressive show of
force off Hong Kong to intimidate the Japanese, who might be thinking of causing trouble
to the British Far East colony. Sailing together at 35 knots in calm water, the pair
cruised off the Chinese coast while the fast IJN cruisers Mogami and Mikuma, slanting in
from her forward beam at similar speed, were barely able to stay alongside. Superb slowly
swung her massive 20" gun turrets abeam towards flagship Mogami, and though deliberately
raised too high to hit if fired, she showed the cruisers that her champions were out and
she was ready to fight if the Japanese started anything.

Superb home-ported in Gibraltar, where she became the core of Force "H", ready to respond
to any German or Italian breakout. When Bismarck made her famous end run around the
British Isles Superb responded with CV Excalibur. Even with her high speed, Superb could
not dare to stern-chase the Bismarck once she was in range of the Luftwaffe's maritime
bombers, and Excalibur's feeble complement of fighters couldn't protect the task force
sufficiently to warrant further pursuit. Superb followed Incomparable to the Far East
again when war broke out, but was unable to close with the Japanese force that her
accompanying carriers harassed at long range. Her discouragement was later taken out on
the Italians when Superb ran down battlecruiser Leonardo daVinci fleeing at top speed in
the Mediterranean and sank her. A few plunging shells from daVinci had done considerable
damage, though, and Superb's "speed armor" couldn't protect her from the Stukas that
finally put her under.

Molucca/Ijsselmeer 3x2-11'' 35knts 29.000t

Molucca and Ijsselmeer operated out of Djakarta and joined together with the British CV
Incomparable, BC Superb, and destroyers for a potent battle group. Avoiding the crushingly
powerful Japanese naval force now descending on Malaysia after Force 'Z' was sunk, together
they raided Japanese forces east of the Philippines. Engaging a heavy enemy scouting
force, planes from Molucca sank Chikuma and air-raided Truk. Retreating to Ceylon
afterbboth Singapore and Djakarta fell to the Japanese, Molucca and Ijsselmeer sortied
with abpolyglot Allied force that challenged a Saxo-Nipponese armada in the Arabian
Sea.bNew Helldivers aboard Molucca concentrated on Mutsu and sank her, but Graf Zeppelin's
See Stukas blew out Molucca's elevators. Refitting in the USA, Molucca emerged to assist
in the Allied reconquest of Java. Ijsselmeer, operating with Molucca and the Royal Italian
CV Aquila, was surprised by a fast Japanese surface fleet that had passed through the
Sunda Strait at night. Molucca and Ijsselmeer charged the enemy, sinking two cruisers and
damaging a battleship, but succumbed to Long Lance torpedoes fired from an incredible
8,000 yards away of Sen Taka class.

Saints Patrick class 3x3-18'',32knts 49.000t BB5* new line

In "Grand Fleet" the various design studies specified by letters are combined to produce
the finest combination of armament, staying power, and speed of any warship afloat for
some fifteen years. More public recognition and publicity surrounds the Superb, but among
knowledgeable Navy personnel the two ships Saint Andrew and Saint Patrick are the "Best of
the Royal Navy". An American liason officer was overheard at a function saying "Any
foreign admiral who makes war on the British will have a reckoning, as we say in New
Orleans, 'when those 'Saints' come marchin' in.... or should I say, sailin' in". It caught
on and that tune worked its way into the ships' official songs.

Taking accurate fire simultaneously from three 15"-gun Italian warships, Saint Patrick was
sunk in the first mass fleet engagement in the Mediterranean when the two Saints were
paired together. Whilst her sister was taking the brunt of hits, Saint Andrew sank the
Littorio and Napoli, but took aerial torpedo hits that put her out of action. Repairing in
Britain, the remaining Saint Andrew stood watch at Scapa Flow for any sign that any German
dreadnoughts, or the rival Japanese Kii, holed up in Germany, might sally forth. When they
did, the Saint Andrew was out of position and never made contact. In the big confrontation
with the powerful remnants of the Kriegsmarine late in the war, a salvo from Saint Andrew
hit Fuhrer just when the enemy leviathan put him out ten months. Credit at first was
givento Saint Andrew until the Norwegian limpet-mine plot was later revealed. Near the
last days of the war the Saint Andrew was sunk by a ship-killing missile fired from a Type
XXI U-boat that set off uncontrollably spreading ammunition fires.

Krasny Tovarishch 3x3-''18 30knts 59.000t BB6*

In early 1942 an Allied convoy unloaded the promised 18" guns in Arkangelsk and they made
their way to Leningrad to be installed in the otherwise-completed Krasny Tovarisch. Though
kept in port most of the time, Tovarishch's big moment came when she challenged the
Japanese battleship Kii off Gotland after Japan had brazenly attacked the Soviet union in
defiance of the non-aggression pact the Soviets were abiding by. Each battleship was
slinging 18" shells across the sky, but Tovarishch's lookouts and seamanship weren't up to
the task of dodging Kii's torpedoes, too. Two underwater explosions, one from a "short"
and one from a torpedo, tore a big hole in Tovarishch's side, enough for her to "give the
ring back" (break off the engagement). Limping into Khrondshdat naval base, she sat out
the rest of the war firing at the encircling Germans until the Russian offensive drove the
invaders out of range.

It appears these fake ships were all stolen from the website "Furashita's Fleet".
This is NOT going to happen, as these are fictional AND COPYRIGHTED.
Not recc'd because I don't want to be involved in an ugly dispute over violation of
copyright.
The owner of that site MADE these ship designs in PS, and he owns them, as they
are his idea. Don't steal others' ideas. I personally hate it, as I am a writer.
At least credit the man for his hard work, please...

It might be a suggestion for more ships, or it might be a suggestion to add colorful
background stories for the ships allready in existance.
