I too had this probelm, am i the only smart one?, meh, ANYWAY there are 2 patches,
down the right one, and EXTRACT if possible.... then install

Uh.. if this is at the login screen... it'll ask you to download a patch for then new Russian
sprites.. It's about 64mb big. I don't see what all you guys are fussing over about :)

Then after that get the sprite fix from the downloads page and you're good to go!

once you d/l the client its still on the pc and you can re-run it and dont need to d/l again

yeah...but the thing is, I'm paying cash to download the entire game (560mb).
Because of the patch's multiple downloads, I've exceeded my bandwidth for the
month. Thanks NF, you've cost me even more money.

The Proper procedure is as follows

1 uninstall
2 remove all extra folders
3 reboot
4 reinstall full game
5 setup to play again what ever compatibility modes and set as admin
6 start game

I have the same problem as well.

I have downloaded the manual three times and the done the automatic PLUS the second patch
download that runs off the automatic 5 times. My game still won't play,

My question to fix this is, would uninstalling Navy Field and then reinstalling it work to
fix this problem? This is assuming that the soviets patch is not part of the manual game
download.

I have the full install. I've done all of the technical suggestions, uninstall the
updater and reinstall. I've down loaded just the patch (4 times)...still doesn't work.
This game is bugged. I've heard from several dozen people now...that won't be
playing any more because they can't log on, just as I can't.

Do you have the full install or are you using the updater?

I dont know where to post but all i can say is " ALWAYS GOT CRASHED". Its not good for my
Prem if always disconnected especially in the middle of the game.
