  • General Navyfield Calculator (GNC)

Nubbles
So this is something I have been working on recently; basically it is a calculator...that
calculates stuff. More specifically:
- Adalbert skill formulas
- Reward modifiers
- Exp requirements

Of course, this is not final. This is why I am releasing it publicly first to see if anyone
knows more about certain areas of NF (such as reload), and to check if there is any
mistakes. Please post your thoughts, suggestions, comments, flames etc. here.

@Nubbles thx =D

I like excel and sometimes is more fun for me than Great Battle 2 =P

Main problem was to find exact (or nearest to real) values for caps / constants and fill
sailors and ships database =)

Some constants from Adalberts formulas are already changed... ;-)

@SK_Bismarck:
...

How long did you spend on this? :p I am truly...speechless. I guess translation is what is preventing
you from releasing them right?

Anyway...

@Nubbles gj ;-)

I think that many people use some tools for some basics calculations...

for example I prepare myself excel file:

NFbuilder actual version 2.20 sheets:

* MySailors - list of the my sailors and basics calculation for them (true abilities, SD,
OH,...)
* Crew builder - there I can choose every ship in game and put anyone sailor from
list of my sailors. This sheet will calculate basics ships stats for crew which I put on
this ship (SD, repaire rate, burn rate, OH total, sonar range in the cause of SS class
etc...)

* SailorBuilder - for preparing the best posible sailors every type and for bases /
abilities what I want, There is posible simulate class delaying, boosted or not
boosted, veted, experted, different bases etc...

* Ship level and sailor - sheet for calculating on which ship sailors have the best
experience and on which ship is the best leveling efficiency =)

* ShipCompare - for comparing the base stats for every ships in game

* AircraftCompare - for aircraft compare (fighters, bombers, ... every nations)

etc...

=)

"I started messing around with a similar idea couple months ago, putting it all into VB. I
decided to hold off hoping someone would crack the new cap formulas before I decided to
spend too much time working out the multiple variables (engineers not in support slots,
various setups for supports, gunners, AA gunners, etc), as well as not being creative or
eye pleasing."

I was hoping to use C+ as well, but honestly, it already takes a long time; simply testing
the current variables and to see if they are up to date is tough job. Making an .exe could
be a long-term project, but I was pretty happy with the way excel turned out.

I have yet to test the reload cap described by Outcast after doing some researching;
because I have a feeling the reload cap got changed again without us noticing. The SS
support formulas are also a worry, as there have been numerous SS patch since then,
and it may well be changed.

If only Adalbert was still around :/

@BoRe:
Then the science lesson is worthwhile my time, as it helped me understand the importance
of rolling neuts and watching for bases, for example.

Games lose their fun when you turn them into a science.
