you'r denying xp by doing so, someone who gave a good game deserves to
make some good xp.

how'd you feel when every bb you can sink with your 10 db would disapear when
they see them incoming? very hard to make good xp that way.. even when you
win the battle.

i run a seaman on my cv5 (ijn), you can put an engy in the 9th slot, but a
seaman does very good as well.

Overall though i'd have to agree that most of the work is in your FP grind, the
seaman is just the icing on the cake.

You want a fact or opinion?

Ok both.
Seaman and/or medic are useless especially on CV.

FACT:
Seaman does boost pilots effect. But THAT effects requires you to spend crapload of
cash/time/effort in order to get a noticeable difference and lvl. That noticeable
difference is
still a joke.

An analogy is buying a USB Key with 32 Gbyte for ,let's say 30$.
The seaman in this context, is another USB key with 33 Gbyte and he has to spend 60$ to
get it. He does benefit of the extra gigabyte of storage.
So you pay an extra 30 bucks for an extra 1 gigabyte only.

In this case, you are ditching one extra support slot, for a tiny advantage.

Medic?

Why do you want to use a seaman on a CV?
Main purpouse of old veteran players is to reduce the vets frequency death.
Now, vets death has BEEN removed for CV when the planes get shot dow, aa, aaw.
Therefore, the main reason to carry a medic is no longer there.

Sure you can still lose experts, but seriously, you can get that ammount lost of expert in no
time if you take you AA for few games.

And vets death from shelling does not happen that MUCH. Especially, when you can just
control alt delete on occasion.
