  • connection problem to the new server Kaiser in China

Hi I am posting this message on behalf of one of my friends in China (not a English speaker).
He has played NF for many years. Recently after the launch of hackshield and the merger,
his game keeps crashing (or significant lag) in the middle of the battle. This seems to be
caused by a connection problem to the new server.

He tried to ping the new server Kaiser at 211.43.149.200
and got slow connection and sometimes it even tells him request timed out (which means
cant connect to the server). The connection seems to keep changing between on and off.

However when he pinged the previous Bismark Server 211.43.149.201. Everything seems
to be fine.

This did not happen before. My friend really wants to keep playing this game and hope you
can help him solve this problem. Thx!

SDE have placed the servers with a hosting company in the US called CD Networks.

They are using a IP address allocated by the Korean Network Authority KRNIC.
These IP addresses are for use in the KRNIC network.

These IP addresses are classed as NON Portable IP Addresses and as such are not
for use outside of Korea.

Not the US ARIN Network where they currently are.

The IP Addresses are Wrong and are causing the Lag and Crashing issues that a lot
of people outside of the US are having trouble with and as of late with the changes
to the US Networks routing is starting to cause problems in US as well.

I have reported this issue to SDE and CD Networks 1 month ago with SoubleGM
being the SDE contact ....the result of which is after several support tickets and the
provision of information to SDE.......is

"We are looking into this"

one week later no reply or fix or comment by any of sde in forums.

Due to the "we don't give a rats" adopted by SDE and CD Networks.

I have resorted to reporting their ISP, CD Networks, to KRNIC for Abuse of network
IP Addresses.

This was also copied to ARIN (US Networks govening Body) and APNIC ( Asia Pacific
Governing Body and the Owners of the IP space that is being abused), KRNIC
operate under the umbrella of APNIC.

Until they fix this I would be so bold as to say that this product is not fit for the
marketed use or purpose.

And...

208.80.251.170 = US Address
211.43.149.200 = Korean Address also 211.43.149.199 which is the other server

Regards,

Mfischer

So sorry but you only show the path part in the jpg, you need to let it run for a
few minutes to do the whole thing and it will look like this

OK just seeing the ping does not help

presss start and get a cmd prompt and type "pathping 211.43.149.200"
Allow it to run and it could take a few minutes
post the results of that
