It's always been like that... well atleast, except for the EBB's. The EBB's used to be
tradeable, but where made un-tradeable when SDE released new EBB's (they
wanted to make the new EBB's more rare, and to possibly stop any black market, or
over charging for them).

But BO's have never been tradeable... the reason why they aren't is because SDE
want's you to level the crew your way... Not just buy some high level Operator and
skip all the game has to offer. Im sure there's other better reason's I, or others, can
come up with... but that one is fine for now.

As for Prem ships... ITS ALL ABOUT SDE MAKING MONEY! If they allow you to trade
the prem ships in game, they make no money from the player that wanted it in the
first place. Also, a player could cycle them through their accounts and never pay
a dime more for the ship... Or players could even steal the ships so they dont have
to buy them. Basically the point is... If they allowed the trade of prem ships... they
would make no money, and they (SDE) would not be able to keep the game running,
and it would shut down.

Because you have to remember... SDE's only source of income.... is US!

- side note-
This is not a suggestion, it should be in either the general fourm, or the technical
fourm. The suggestion fourm is only for SUGGESTIONS!

1. Player A. buys Elite sailors.
2. Player B. wants Elite sailors but cant afford in RL money.
(side note here, player A is poor in creds)
3. Player A. notices player B wants them, so sells Elite sailors to him for a lot of creds.
4. Player A. goes and buys himself new Elite sailors.
5. Player A. just got rich for basically NO work, and still has Elite sailors.

What about that?

-----
1. Player A. buys a Ticonderoga.
2. Player B. wants a ticonderoga but cant afford in RL money.
(side note here, player A is poor in creds)
3. Player A. notices player B wants it, so sells it to him for a lot of creds.
4. Player A. goes and buys himself another ticonderoga.
5. Player A. just got rich for basically NO work, and still has a ticonderoga.
= more money to SDE

">">implying that low level people have credits to buy them"

Problem?"

>implying that bos won't cost 5 times more than any other sailor
>can't sell at 5mil/$1usd
>sell for 1mil/$1usd
>level 120 bo costs $500

Edit:

Also

>didn't factor in the price of the crews as well
>another billion
>crew now costs $1500
>implying anyone would spend that much on a game without LOVING it (at least one bb/cv6

"Um... What exactly is this suggesting...?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its a rule because if it wasnt, credit-making in NF would basically go as follows:

1. Player A. buys a Ticonderoga.
2. Player B. wants a ticonderoga but cant afford in RL money.
(side note here, player A is poor in creds)
3. Player A. notices player B wants it, so sells it to him for a lot of creds.
4. Player A. goes and buys himself another ticonderoga.
5. Player A. just got rich for basically NO work, and still has a ticonderoga.

Thats not how the game should be,"

>implying that's not the way it already is
>implying that people even have enough creds to afford the ridiculous 5mil/usd exchange rate
>implying that it doesn't cost real money which is more important than game money

"As for your brilliant and well thought-out (/sarcasm) idea of trading BOs, people
could instantly gain access to a bb6 or cv6 in which they have NO knowledge of
driving and suck in it, hurting themselves and other players (since this is an online
game and [technically] based on teamwork), so essentially they just got to the
highest level with a little money."

Thats not how the game should be, just pay a little real money to become insta-rich
in game (and therefore capable of buying uber sailors, becoming essentially "good").
Paying to become good is pointless and ruins the game for those that actually work
at it. So that is why this prem ship suggestion wont work.

If we could get one of our belvoed FMs to lock this, that would be great. It suggests
nothing, and is in suggestions. It also questions rules, so it must be instantly binned
right?
