Another idea NF could implement in HA is the idea of using BB6/CV6 as super capital
ships in a "carrier/ battleship strike group." It would be like carrier strike groups are in
real life where a super carrier is surrounded by smaller ships such as missile cruisers,
destroyers, and submarines (along with other support vessels). It would add to the
realism and strategy in HA so that the different columns in an HA (alpha column, bravo
column, etc.) would be like a smaller strike group attacking the harbor where each
strike group could only have like 2 BB6's and 2 CV6's. The strike groups could have to
be created at the beginning of the HA and if they wanted to mix and match ships from
each group, they could make it so there was a time limit (say, 15 minute penalty) for
ships switching from one group to another (to make it fair and so that it seems like the
ships are "traveling" from one group to another.) This way, on top of just stalling and
the general defensive and offensive strategies, there is more emphasis on protecting
the BB6/CV6's. Just a suggestion.

BB6s absorb alot more damage then BB5s. Range has nothing to do with it.

Yea, it would be a good idea, but it's going to be flammed out just like all other good
suggestions. >_>

I like the idea of not being able to use BB6/CV6 until the Harbor tile, it would
definitely make the tiles leading up to the HT more interesting because each team would
have to use different tactics and not rely simply on range, power, and numbers :-).

Or here is a thought... GET RID OF BB6/CV6's? Maybe that way it is more fair? There are a
lot more BB5's out there then BB6's(even though the number of BB6's out there is mind
numbing) Or maybe not get rid of them but make it that you can only use them at harbor
tile? Due to the fact that if these monster ships where real, they would have too have
there own armada of fuel tankers to get out that far away from there home harbor.

Possible solution to the issue you raised Iampants.

Open the other ports for smaller fleet to carry out HA's at more desirable times.

Ensure only smaller fleets can participate, ie if your IP played on an account which
attacked the larger fleet harbours then you cannot participate in the smaller
harbours for a (random suggestion here) six week period?.

Size of smaller fleets? (another random suggestion) 40 people?

Discourage random small fleets attacking constantly? - You can only attack once
every 4 weeks? (again just another random suggestion)

Finally - remove HA altogether as it sucks?
