Funny, I stumbled across an old documentary about what nearly happened to the UK 30 years
ago. Essentially they claim that had Argentina waited a few months, the Royal Navy would

I think its a shame. I think that a better course of action would be to mothball it and
then sell it for scrap later.

to maintain our own navy. It's disgusting is what it is.

The UK is broke. They are essentially giving up on having a CV for the next 8 years. They
even had a plan at one point to share carriers with France.... Its ironic, because in
1982, they were also broke and were planning on scrapping and selling their CVs. They said
that they didn't need them anymore. Invincible (Ark Royal's sister) was saved at the last
minute as they needed it for the Falklands war and they just barely had the airpower to
win. I hope Argentina doesn't get any crazy ideas again!

Well phillip I have to agree with alex, you spam quite a bit all over the forums and it is
all because you don't read just a little more either in that thread that your responding
to or in the section your trying to get information. Also your use of the search function
seems to be non-existant even thought there is a search function.
