Never knew SDE also was into breast cancer research. No wonder some gaming mode development had to go on slow mode until reaching a medicinal breakthrough. But jokes aside, I'd also like to know if such a thing as the perpetual battle mode isn't still gathering dust anywhere.
For, quite some time ago, I gave off some personal ideas in the mod forum about how one could add some brand new and less arcade game modes by teaking what we have at our disposal as well as using elements of that for HA... anyways- what had me pleaseantly surprised then was that several folks there said they actualy liked the idea. Haven't heard of it since but those modes could also well be up-tuned with a perpetual battle approach.
Imagine a harbor assault that doesn't consist of little, adjacent battle rooms but of either fewer (i.e. 9x9) yet larger interconnected maps with conquerable positions such as islands adding new, take-along bonus features such as airports and docks as well as connection points at which one could switch over from one map to another, instead of exiting the battle and starting anew in the next battle room. The struggle for the harbor would become a large, flowing battle over a set of large, interconnected maps and particular features with maps and respawn points. Yeah, I know that its all just wishful thinking. Perpetual battle would still come in handy.
