  • Levelling Elite AA Gunners

Hello,

I read most guides on AA and ability. I have 2 questions.

- Can anyone name tell me the current reload cap?
- I have 2 Elite 13 RLD gunners, at what level should i class them to AA, they're LVL 56
armament sailors now.

If I know the reload cap I should be able to calculate the exact lvl right? The difference
between the cap - current ability / growth per level.

That being said, guns reload cap sit in the 2,7mil.

Some guns will require less to hit the cap. Some guy test it on the QV and sits in the 2,5mil.

If you don't want to take any risk, go and aim for 2,7mil. That way you're not going to
worry about if it's 2,5 or whatever.

- The reload cap reduces the reload time by 60% now.
- Yes your gunners have to hit the reload cap for that gun to get there.
- There is not a direct linear relation between reload ability and gun reload time, but
rather a tiered approach. It is most obvious when you look at slow reloading guns.
If it were a direct linear relation, any small increase in reload ability would give a
small but faster gun reload. So you would need multiple salvo's to see any difference
in gun reload between gunner 1 with reload ability A, and gunner 2 with ability A+1.
In reality if that +1 for gunner 2 brings you just over to the next tier of reload
reduction, you'll see gunner 2 firing markedly faster by the second shot. If you had a
3rd gunner at ability A-1, you won't see any difference with gunner 1.

Thx for the replies.

To recap:

- The reload cap is suspected to be around 2.700.000 true ability.
- Arm sailors get mor exp than AA gunners
- It looks like a Arm sailor will not hit the reload cap before you hit level 110-120

This raises a couple of new questions for me...

- The reload cap for guns is max 50% of the reload time. So 2 sec reload will never
get below 1s. Right?
- Will you ONLY hit the Gun Reload Cap if you hit the Ability Reload Cap?
- Is the relation of Reload Ability to Gun Reload Time Reduction linear?

The last one is purely a personal preference question:

- Is it worthwile to run a AA set on a balanced (not AW or SW) BB?

I know, that's a lot of questions :) I'm trying to decide if level my sailors till i reach the
QE / KGV and foresake hitting the reload cap.

By my reckoning, my level 104 Arm crew with 10/12 base have not quite reached the new
reload cap, even if full BVE.

So take your choice, but do not forget, Arm crew get more XP than Gunners.

I kept mine as Armament sailors until level 90. But that was before the reload cap changes.

Thx for the reply, i'm a bit confused by what u mean by 'significant values'

I also assume you refer to true ability as in the adalbert guide?
