  • Limit Submarines in HA until they get balanced

As said. Both ASW and SS's are unbalanced at the moment; Level 70 ships shouldn't be
competitive in a level 120 game mode. And Level 20 ships with PHH shouldn't have the
effect they have on level 70 ships.

Limit them to 3 per side until the rebalance. Quick temporary fix until the gameplay for
submarines are fixed with proper tiers (5 and 6) at proper levels and properly balanced.

On top of that, for non harbour tile rooms, if there aren't any capital ships in the room
(BB/CV), the room should be classed as a victory to the attacker; There are too many
fleets
that send subs along the border at the end to waste time.

This thread isn't for people that have no idea what they are talking about complaining
about balance. A level 70 ship shouldn't have the effect they do have in HA. SDE have
said themselves it is a 120 game mode. Its what the BB6's and CV6's were designed for.

I'll be asking for any posts pertaining to OMG SUBS AREN'T OVERPOWERED to be removed
as this argument has been done to death and anyone with any sense knows they are
overpowered for their level.

as begging of the game, yes 12 torpedoes missed out of 41.

Yet you have the huge splash damage, which means you don't even have to hit.

And 12 out of 41? Lawl...

Actually, i ve to show you, that not necessarily torps wont explode kinda close to its
target, i ve been launching the torpedo at 50-80% of its total torp range, and they
missed, and sometimes the whole pack miss it, and after that i use Gradual function,
and still miss it 4/8, so yeah thats equal to 12 torps missed out of 41, its not the sub
driver sucks, thats called Torpedoes duds or auto miss chance.

So... Let's take a look at how ASW is overpowered... ASW is meant to take out a sub in one
or two hits. FFG's in America's Navy, were designed to handle Sub warfare, ESPECIALLY
Subs... They aren't suited for battle against anything else, I should know, I'm on one,
and a Surface Warfare Specialist... To claim they shouldn't compete is rediculous, because
they are doing what they were made to do.

SK, you clearly don't know what you are talking about, please refrain from posting about
game balance with factual errors.

ASW is overpowered, yet still avoidable by subs. On top of that, if a Sub torp doesn't explode,
that is because the Sub player FAILED by firing them too close.

A huge issue with the subs is their shell resistance, which comes from their Max
Displacement. Whatever patch SDE did to "weaken" them was horribly wrong. I believe
Richardphat has the details how.

2-3? My US SS4 has taken more than that with 900 SD, safely been able to dive, and
then rep up.

my only issue that I have with them is they cant be one shotted when not semerged
they usually takes about 2-3 salvos before going down, if anything needs fixin it for
sure is this

but this is same for SS and BBs too...

sub in critical dive = SS can not be demaged (beside critical dive demage) but SS can
not shot anyone...

SS can reload their torps but ASW ship could reload their HH, DC too... reload time for
sub torps is +- same like for PHH and DC reload time is faster. DC splash demage
range is highter than subs torps splash demage... HH demage subs without direct
hit...same like sub torps... how many times DC, HH dont work? Zero...but many subs
torps dont explode...

some SS myths
- IJN SS4 is not able to oneshot or twoshots BB6 with 0,2 belt and 100+ bulge...
- torp reload cap is not 8 sec (yes there is some guys who is thik this) but more than
14 sec...

sorry lj but a sub at crit dive takes damage from being in crit dive
all a dd/ff whith hh has to do is wait it out
i know so becos i play ss and asw to
and whith the phh u don't even need to be dead on whith your shot to kill ss4's
even the once whith the scarry 100+ crew and full 900 sd
and at the normal dive mode to move arround all dc hh and torps will kill/ damage ss

to crit dive phh u need to be verry verry fast to hit the crit button
just a bit to late u wil take damage in going from normal dive to crit dive and end up
sinking your self its a catch 22 thing dead if your to slow to hit crit dead if u don't

and don't even speak about the bad exp u get for being ss or asw

have none of u ever notice that it are mostly the same players
that live the to the end of a game and get the high attack score's even
in lower lvl boats this counts the same for bb/cv/ss ect.
player who know what thy do live long and have skill
