I've always pondered about a tactical overlay in the corner of the screen visually
displaying the angle of your guns in relation to 0 degrees. To clarify what I mean,
perhaps simply a front view of the ship, with the guns barrel elevation animated according
to your current setting of angle. This would purely be for quicker estimation of the
angle to fire with AA at planes near and far, etc. Also, colored damage indicators
according to what type of armor you hit, would be nice. Grey for Belt, Red for Deck, etc.

Also, I've been meaning to ask about the inclusion of armor erosion. Is it currently
included in the game? Armor Erosion referring to pieces of armor being damaged /
destroyed by HE fire over time, regardless of shell size. It would not directly damage
the ship unless it pierced the armor, of course. But there are many ships that 'armor
whore', and the inclusion of the ability to damage and ultimately destroy the armor of
enemy ships would serve toward realism, as well as keeping the game interesting.

Adding something useless to the overlay? No thanks.

What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with angles. It is purely for seeing
where your guns barrel is in relation to the default 0. It does not replace the well
known angle meter, it would be beside it, animated as your increase or decrease your
angle, to show how high or low the barrel is pointing. This would help with judging
angles for AA for planes at different elevations/distances from the ship, because you
would be able to get a general idea of the arc of the shell from the barrel.

Angles are much more accurate. If you don't use them have fun missing
