Blitz's intended purpose and its practical purpose are not the same.
Intended: To give players a chance to learn, and play against like level ships. Practical: Free for all, resulting in very little actual learning, and in most cases experienced players with either blitz specific crews or new crews (bve'd) rolling over "easy" players.
There is virtually no learning in blitz's (and hasn't been since years ago when I was playing blitz with my first crew). Increasing xp will not solve the problems you mentioned in your post. New players being forced to play GB that are inexpericend and cross etc. Increasing xp would put players through Blitz faster and literally force into GB (Blitz level limit) creating players who have spent both less time in blitz, are less familiar with the game and have not learned (through hard lessons) techniques used in GB/HA/FL/etc.
Change was made to blitz a while ago, bringing BBs and CVs in. Some argued that this would help them to learn before GB. For those of you that have been around for significant time before this change and after wards, the trend was not improved play but rather worse play. Countless scout less ships, everything Armored (whether effective or not), CVs putting up planes and just forgetting about them, torps torps torps (even on BBs). What works in blitz doesn't work in GB. Why learn incorrectly, particularly for a new player to learn those ways only to later have to adapt and relearn.
Blitz is like GB, it is shared xp (minor difference comes with higher teired BBs which recieve smaller percentage of shared and more personal). Blitz team attack reaches 100 to maybe 200k, while GB I have seen upwards of 900k. Much more to split equalling higher xp. To increase blitz exp you would essentially have to increase experience per shared attack... rewarding more for less.
Possible problems arising: 1) Players reaching GB in less time, less experienced. Those who play GB regularly can usually spot players who have reached BB6 through shared xp. Just because you reach 61, does not mean you can play like a level 61 player. That comes with experience and training/help. 2) Inability to promote crew properly. Players that level through current blitz already struggle to earn enough points to properly promote their sailors on time. Those who level crew through GB are further short. Raising the xp in blitz means more players messing up the classing of their crews. 3) Inability to afford next ship. This was a problem years ago in blitz when I started, dramatically worse for new players now. You level faster than you earn. 4) Incorrect crew leveling. This is a current issue and would only slightly be affected by this change. Crews need to be rotated or second BOs need started.
