Well, you got your Scharnhorst, one of the two BB1 you can get with the KM; Congratulations! This is a great BB1, but it suffers from some huge drawbacks that can make you hate it (In the same way you probably hated the Admiral Hipper grind to this ship) but the major flaw it has is:
-That your boat is made out of paper mache, which means that if a BB2 and up sees you, you will die almost instantly unless you are fast to react and do what common sense tells you to:RUN! One way of avoiding these situations is to stay in the dark, always try to be hidden, and to accomplish that you must have AA,I repeat: YOU MUST HAVE AA. The previous statement is not a suggestion, this ship has 4 gun slots per broadside and all of them can have the KM40 with a decent ammount of ammo, so you must make well use of this capability, I know it isn't great but hey, it is better than the one present in the Prinz Eugen, isn't it? Also, use your scouts wisely: You only have 3 which means you need to manage them very well or you could face a situation in which you can't see the enemy towards you are directly advancing (most of the time, a blockhooting BB4-5)
-Second Suggestion: Do not engage unless you are absolutely sure you can; not only hit them, but also avoid any incoming shells. You are a KM ship made of paper mache, which pretty much makes you like a Tier 1 sniper in any First person shooter; your range is not Uber-range and your health is pretty low, but you still have a range advantage over the regular soldiers (CAs,CLs,DDs,FFs and some BBs!) use that little advantage you have, exploit it, abuse it, learn from it, and win. Because you are a BB1 you don't have enough firepower to oneshot anything above a CL (and even those are kind of hard to achieve) but you can surely act as a distraction to a larger BB that can't see you and is engaged with other large BB from your team. You can and should always try to annoy enemy BBs from the shadows, remember that you are playing against other people that also hear the "damage" alert whenever they are hit, which means that they will react to it. You will probably not be able to sink any BB from full health by yourself, but you can pester it and let a larger BB to finish the job, while at the same time you rack up some decent attack against a higher level enemy, effectively making your EXP earn larger. Another important thing is that some players have experience shooting blindly at targets, so you must learn "Sniper tactics" if you haven't yet, this means "Shoot and move" in this case, go exactly the opposite direction at which you just shot and then advance to any other position in which you are hidden and can make another shot.
-Third Suggestion: Try to stick to the middle and wait untill the enemy formation is split between north and south. Most BBs go either north or south, which leaves the middle; while not undefended, in an almost perfect condition for a BB1 to sneak in and do some damage to the other team. The good thing about the middle is that, while the larger ships go sout or north, the smaller BBs, CAs, CLs, And DDs are left behind or decide to stay behind in order to look for some protection, this scenario is perfect for your BB1, since you will be able to pick on some small or same sized targets, and if you succed breaching this spot you have another extra advantage: You have a considerable piece of map that virtually belongs to you (if your team hasn't lost most their BBs and are actually engaging enemy forces) which means you can turn back and support your ships from the frontline (Although this is not encouraged since they will be probably facing some high level BBs that prefer an easy kill now, than a larger kill probably never), or you can sneak behind the enemy lines and make some discret shots here and there and force the enemy BBs to switch positions to avoid your fire, which will hopefully put them in the range of your team's BBs or at least prevent the enemy from destroying that BB4-5 that was in trouble.
Fourth Suggestion: Avoid Blitz. This is pretty much self explainatory. The reason why I suggest this is because nowadays, most blitz games are played in Hobbit war; Which isn't the most apropiate place for a KM BB1 since it will not only not teach you anything about GB2 but it will neither give you as much experience as GB.
Fifth Suggestion: Use little armor. Always use little armor, you can fit some 0.4 broadside armor and 0.2-0.4 in the deck. Oh and get as much bulge as you can before losing a single knot, when you loose this know revert to the previous number. Remember that speed is one of your greatest allies, and here (unless you have some really good Engineers) you will not be able to OH as often as you probably did in the previous stages.
Sixth Suggestion: Read other guides, the one that Splid made about the setups for each ship is really an awesome guide if you have any doubt concerning other topics I probably didn't covered here.
Seventh suggestion: Eat your vegetables, wash your hands often, Brush your teeths and always be polite with everyone (even with the CV drivers, which for some reason most BB drivers seem to hate or at least be mad with).
That was pretty much it, thank you for reading this guide, if you have any suggestion they are welcome :D Have a good ride with you Shiny BB1.
