  • "How to have event in NavyField"

It's nice to have events which bring together a number of players in game.

Though we have provided valuable suggestions for game improvements which most of them
have been implemented, but there are none on - "How to have event in NavyField !"

This thread is to bring our thoughts together on this topic.

1. Advanced intimation of Events
-------------------------------------
SD should understand that most of us are working/studying and have things planned at our
end. If we know we have an event we can plan accordingly and not miss the event.

2. Brief time period & Experience boost for Events
-----------------------------------------------------
It is very difficult to play continuously for a fortnight or a month.
What we need is event to be planned for weekend and a week with Experience (XP) boost of
300%.
This experience boost is mostly appreciated by those who wait for leveling their level 110
Ships/sailors or starting a new line.
Though XP would be nice throughout the year but that would kill the fun...:P

3. Item drops for Score/accuracy

The random drops are nice and confusing. Sometimes they can be incredible like hundreds of
Hedgehogs which a BB player doesn't need. Some farm on these gifts and some go
disappointed.

It would be really nice to have Premium items as assured gifts for conditions like
a) Score based - 100K/ 150K/ 200K/250K
b) Kill based - FP attacks 10K/20K/25K
c) Ship based - Number of ships sunk/Flag killed


Feel free to add to this, intent here is to make this game better.

For those that do not want to read, the real jist is: As a suggestion for having more
notice of events / schedules is a good idea. The remainder of the post merely detracts
and does come across as asking for more.

What I posted has noting to do with a BB6, infact it is with a BB5, keeping in line with
your comment about grinding a 110 up. The point was more or less that XP can be gained in
high quantities even on non event times. When boosted 100% or 200% (as it has in the
past) creates an absurd amount of exp gain.

Giving more heads up before events is fine, and even a good idea. Though given dates
ahead of time, would likely not cause me to change my real life schedule. I'm not going
to adjust my work schedule, or turn down going out with friends just because I know there
is something going on in NF. Look back to the happy hour event, the forums were flooded
with people complaining that the times were not convient to them even with notice.

Conversiton rates have always been rough. Would I be happy if they were upped sure, will
I complain that SDE doesn't care or that they just want money not really. If they still
had experts from missions, I would spend hard time grinding out experts, vent a little
when they fail rolling for vets, and go right back. I'd waste some time but no money and
move on. As for random drops, they are meant to be random (and they are free). A player
shouldn't really be motivated to play simply for a drop but rather take the drop as a gift
or a bonus when it happens and move forward. As much as there were times I needed a BO
swap or experts rather than vets, etc they still got used, and were still free. After the
events I never needed to buy smokes for HAs, after the events Operation HH became fun,
after the events I wasted mines on a speeded out kita seeing how far to the other team I
could get and start dropping.

Thanks for the critics, but the objective here is to realize that what possible should be done in
order to make event as more happening and rewarding to the players.

Besides making big scores using a BB6 is easy and one can do that in regular times.
Regarding experience boost, I didn't do the math to provide ideal percentage for the short and
brief event being proposed here.

Also, the conversion rate and item drops (hedgehogs & hogs....) often are disappointing, is
there a way to fix it and make it better?

The most important part which needs to be communicated to the SD Entertainment is that
those who are working would really appreciate event time being announced/intimated so that
one can plan to be available for the event and "Not" miss the opportunity.

I really can't imagine how a busy regular NF player can make the best of an event for a month
long, taking a day off on weekend and playing day/night long is nice but doing it any more
becomes "Boring".

HH, I use them on every ship, and they help alot, SS is so overpowered a BB dosent
stand much of a chance against them, so I carry HH on all my BBs

but the rest of what you say I 100% agree on "

Please read my post, as what you seem to disagree with, is actually the exact same thing I
have said.

More and more BB swich from AA to HH. Lately AA ships are enouth to keep the sky clear
even in GB, but subs get more and more pesky. Few even take DD as escort to show them
where the subs are.

NO, just no.
People will do everything to get the conditions turning the event from something fun to
horrible experience.
Also even if you add them, only few of the players will get alot of rewards while the rest
will just ragequit.

Unless you are SS, this event is fun.(premium HH use 7/salvo so even few hundred will end
in a weekend)

XP events are not really needed these days.

And I'm too lazy to put in the correct format nor do I want to be posting up a bunch of
screen shots. The first picture is done during a non event.

I'm not sure where the other ones are tucked away, but I've seen many 225-250k exp games
on 100% boosts. Do we really need to be able to get 600k+ exp per game?

Many BB players do use HHs. When experting my sailors I have AA on, but during HAs and
most typical games, my entire US line has HHs from DD to BB6. Have a set of gunners for
the same thing on UK with the exception of QV.

This could very likely break down whatever Team aspect there is in the game. I have seen
it in others where players become soley focused on themselves (attack, sunk ships,etc)
"You stole my kill!", "that was my attack!", crossing for position to attack, CVs fighting
planes over friendly ships for plane credits.
