I feel that torps are a bit on the funky side to be used. I'm talking about the fact
that they explode when they run out of fuel. Real torpedos just sink to the bottom
when they run out of fuel. This exploding buisness ruin famous tactics like "screw
the torpedos, full speed ahead" and similar tactics. Noone in their right mind would
try this in NF because the torps can blow up without even being close to you just
because they ran out of fuel. Or maybe a bif reduction in dammage range on
torpedo explosions could work. The ULTIMATE improvement to torpedos would be
the introduction of DUD torpedos. Not even MODERN torpedos explode 100% of the
hits. I'm not sure what would be best but as it is now make torpedos to effective.

Good idea... would make torpwhoring less sure and more tricky :)

About the "To hell with torpedoes, full speed ahead" quote...
It was said during the american Civil War when a fleet was tasked with running the
blockade into a mined port. Mines were then called torpedoes though.

Too right natoth!! Early on in torp. warfare, the hit/damage ratio on torps was near
fifty/fifty or less. A realistic torp. would not explode at the end of its run either,
(unless it had remote guide-by-wire) but would SINK!
