  • Bulkhead Armor?

I am well versed on what belt, bulge and deck armor are for, but what the heck
does bulkhead do?

While I'm armor whoring with my Q, if adding bulkhead will help me, I'd like to know
about it!

basically, bulkhead improves overall HE defence(ship structure), and prevents
occasional sailor death as said from a mod and what it also does is that it increases
soft defence against armor piercing and lowers breakdown bar of ship(the red bar
indicated at your DP) as you'll substain longer endurance for your engine at its
normal condition. usually useful when you can't fit much general armor what it
should be to protect yourself from belt and deck atks so thats bout it...

If you're using a Q, stick all possible armour on belt. If using 3x4", you'll need it
because you have NO range, and if you're taking the (slighly more sensible) 6"/45
option, you'll still need it, so what the hell!

Ignore all other armour until you get your CL. Then worry about where the hell
you're going to get the 300k to armour your Sirius.....

I wouldn't bother with any bulge if I was you. You're a tiny, agile target in a Q and
should have no trouble turning around torps. Deck use depends on what guns
you're using. Until you get the single 6's there's not much point as you'll have to
close with your opponents to even hit them. This means they'll be shooting at low
angles to be able to hit you and will not be striking your deck much, if at all. Once
you get the 6's and start staying back deck is useful. You're still a very small target
though, so that, plus movement helps more than deck armour any day of the week.

3 bulkhead reduces crew deaths dramatically, without using up all your DP. (expect
occasional deaths, though).

Although, skilled players are known to use a ton of bulkhead on their BBs since it seems
to lower the amount of burning time... Don't know if this is true. (hey, laoji's yamato
was burning less than my york)

On a Q, 5 bulge, 5 bulkhead, and MAX belt are my recommendation...

Nothing is more fun than a Q with 4.0+ belt and triple 4" guns...

except maybe a Sirius with 5.0+ belt with dual 6ers...

It's fine to post questions here, though tips and tatics may be a better spot.

Bulkhead is like the superstructre of your ship, it slightly increases your overall
defence, while also offering some protection against sailor death.

An armor whore Q is best set up with a minimal amount of deck, bulge and bulk, and the
rest (as much as you can) in belt.

Hope this helps.

p.s. this from Trainworld:
"Remark: Bulk Head can increase the ability of HE defense for the ship."
