L class hands down.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. What's with all the Tribal hate? It has the potential to become one of
the best ships in the game, because of its higher displacement than Q, and the ability to
hold larger crews.

As for the Tribal/L question, it's your choice. If you want a lot of shells to come down
on the enemy at short range, go Tribal with triple 4s. If you want a good range and very
good firepower, go L with dual 6s. If you want 7.5", go Tribal, but use the D-types - a
good Tribal can fit 4 of them, with quite a lot of room to spare. N-type 7.5 can be done,
and L-type 7.5 is a stretch. Personally, I use two configurations, a 7.5 single D and 4
triple D, mostly because I prefer a good reload time. My two cents though.

EDIT:

With a 250 ton nerfed crew, you SHOULD be able to fit four dual 6" D L35 on a Tribal, with
BARELY enough room for two binds of ammunition, as well as two 90 ton gunners, a Heavy
engine, and a single light (preferably side-leveled as a neutral) Bridge Operator. Does
anyone want to check this for me, since I'm weak? XD

I just wanted to add that there is a T mount spot. I use a L class ship with 3 x 6"
duals and a quad torp launcher. I do sometimes remove the torp launcher and add
more armour. I personally didn't like the Tribal much.

It depends how you like to play! I played with the Q and loved getting in close and
dirty, but the Tribals turning force SUCKS!!! You can't dodge torps in that thing. I
have yet to try the L class, but I think I'm turning in my Tribal for the Q and leveling
up to try the L. I have played many Jap ships and I would say turn for turn the
Tribal blows REALLY BAD for manuoverability:

Q class (DD)
Kagero (DD)
Fubuki (DD)
Akitsuki (DD)
Akitsuki-Kai (DD)

On par with the Tribal:
Tatsuda (DD)

Worse turning force than tribal:
Agano (CL)

I'd recommend that you go back to the Q class until you can get the 7.5" guns.

I have fun with both the Q and Tribal. It depends on what type of attack I want to do. I
intend to go up to either the L or Dido but not at the expense of selling one of the other
DDs.

in my opinion stay with Q Class and w8 for dido, but if you really like to have a new ship
dont take Tribal... it is a big swimming crap ;)

The rooms I come there are much torpedo's. But with a well armored L class (like i have)
then it is a very good ship.
I now have the triple 4 inch guns and waiting for better ones, but I like these already.
I'm now waiting for the dido, or I will keep my L class untill I can get the Sirius.

Haven't you heard? Torpedos are hardly used in games. And all British ships are uber, and
must be nerfed. Just an FYI.

But the best thing about L class is that you can run away! You can run away, and fire
almost directl backwards. It's the best feature ever.

Too bad Trainworld doesn't list the R turret firing angles, they must be like 330 degrees.
