hey folks im at lvl 23 , and wondering whether its best to remodel to the aki kai , or
get the tsukkikei when im lvl 24 , as both will require buying of engine fsc etc , and i
worked out cost very similar. I dont use the torp slot on my aki atm , and was
wondering which you guys thought was the better ship for lvling / exp.

As a side note why have they made the kburg so poor?!?! , i completly owned one
at close range wit my aki for mega exp :D:D:D

I have the Akitsukikai and th Tsukikei. I like them both. As intro mentioned, the
Tsukikei is a great gun platform and also works as a good AA platform. But I find my
self running the Akitsukikai more because I tend to use that torpedo bank. If you are
not going to miss not having torpedos, then the Tsukikei, those 5 turrents of 5.5"
guns is a great weapon against daydreaming Atlantas.

Get the Tsuki, it is a great floating cannon platform. And my advice is use the 5.5"
duals quicker reload!!

With agano you might do more, might do less, depends really on your method of play.
However, the sure thing is with Agano you would shoot farther, so in DD CL games that
might be an advantage, might not be. As your advantage is range, but with that your
reload increases, so if you go against low level CLs, it would work well, against DDs it's
a bit trickier, against high lvl CL+ players, you lose (they have longer range, stronger
guns, better sailors, better reload and acc).

Hmmm am quite tempted to get the agno at lvl 28, as my gunners are mhigher lvl
than my bo and the tsukkikie is still bugged , seem to be doing ok in my aki kai but
still only doing abt 8-10k dmg in a game so the lvling process is very slow :(

Max number of shells fired by Agano is 9, each shell dmg is around 250. Tsukikei can do
the same with 6" duals, but there are 10 of these shells. That is an extra 250 dmg per
volley. That coupled with the fact that you are smaller and more agile I think is a
better trade off than more DP. I mean, what use is DP if your armor sucks and you don't
have that much DP advantage over DDs anyways?

I wasn't a good Agano player. My shell spread was so bad on my Agano and I could hardly
hit anything. Eventurally I left my Agano in the shipyard and Tsukikei became my primary
leveling ship. Then I just used my Tsukikei all the way to Mogami.

It may seem long and boring, but in fact it's not if you have Tsukikei. Tsukikei has hung
fire power compare to other DDs. Once you get used to duel 5.5", you will be able to own
most of the DDs and CL1. You won't realize how fast you will level up until you try it.

If fact, I think having no T slot acturally gives advantages:
1. Because you don't have torps, you won't rush to the front (live l .onger = able to deal
more dmg).
2. You will concentrate on guns only, less distraction (ppl lose 3~4 secs of shooting
when they are trying to use torps)
3. Because you don't have torps to counterattack, you stay far away from TW most of the
time (TW hate long range snipes).
4. You can join any games you want(No Torps, No TW, No Z99 or DDX).

Con. about Tsukikei
1. Bad armor, bad displacement (same IJN problem)
2. only have 5 crew space (it does hurt in the long run)
3. no upgrade for guns (duel 5.5" is best all around for Tsukikie. dual 6" pwns harder,
but need to cut crews)

*My agano actually did better when my gunners reached lv34 and had more experts, but I was
too addict to Tsukikei already

"experienced players may rather want to remain sitting in their Tsuki until they get the
most expensive CL of all"

Which is still made of rice paper...albeit expensive rice paper. Or maybe to torpwhores
the Mogami feels and looks like a banana split.

Take the Tsuki. Aki has poor fire arcs and the single torp launcher helps only if u r a
skilled torper - the extra gun is a better tradeoff. Moreover, in my aki-days (before
the new DDs) i had to use long range fire only to stand any decent chance, because
of the Jap's super-tough ricepaper armour - the Aki is a fat DD and every skilled
player u see will try to get u instead of hunting tiny AW Qs with triple turrets - in
simple terms: the Aki is not a front-line ship.

The Agano IS kindda crappy, but if u play it well, it not a bad ship at all (again: it is
not a front-line ship - use dual 7.9s to bombard from afar, fend DDs off with torps). I
recommend that people who never had a CL before buy the Agano to learn the
differences in commanding a CL (it is always sad seeing CLs rush in like mad and
being torped like noobs) - experienced players may rather want to remain sitting in
their Tsuki until they get the most expensive CL of all.

Are you guys saying I should stick with Aki-Kai or Tsuki up until lvl 39 (Mogami)??

Thats quite aways off for me (I'm 28 BO), and I cannot fathom playing my Aki-Kai for THAT
long. I'm probably going to try out the Tsuki, but no torpedo slots kind of sucks.

if you enjoy using maximum firepower for guns, go tsukikei. if you like to use the
single torp slot for self defence against other nearby ships(suggest the X5 type 90
for the torp), stay with the akit-kai(if you have one) cause their structure is almost
the same. if your not planning to have any torps for the akitsuki you might as well
go tsukikei but as for weight issues, you're on your own then cause its body is half
their max dispalcement and that tsukikei has 5 gun slots that might not fit all your
crew in the long run.
