The stats on Navy Field Data Page from that Town site shows that they have the
exact same stats for the ship. So whats the difference between the Akitsuki and its
remodel Akitsuki Kai?

kai has bigger engine and 200 dp less.
No difference other than this, i believe.

omg akitsuki is very bad! its speed is like 36 and overheat is 38 so no chance to
evade torps. akit-kai is worth the 7k remod! more dp, faster....just an all out better
ship

Aki-Kai have ability to mount much more powerful Engines, and you have a bit more displ.
