JPN ships have less armor , more range, and they are harder to play because they also have less DP than other nation's ships of the same class....

If u like challenges, go the akitsuki route and get agano then mogami; but like others say, it is the hardest gunship line.

But, Japan has largest variety of carriers...

seriously though, jap is good for its torps, and its early carrier, plus (to some extent) its DDs and the mogami. the best nation to start with is obviously brit, since they are short-ranged, high powered nation wich strategy is to rush in, so you dont have to worry about tactics untill high lvls.

i think IJN is great UNTIL bb's, 'cause of aki/mogamiCL/mogamiCA...but laoji's word is best for BB times. IJN isn't as newb-friendly because of kagero, not that strong.

however, german is not a good nation for new players either, due to weak damage per shell. i think newb-friendly is uk/usa, with uk better. even noobs can get good damage before they die.

The ijn get a cv early on tho, thats about the only good thing

Jap is hard to start with, the only thing that is good that you get is torps. But once you get up to the 20s, it gets really good guns, Dual 5.5 which rld way faster than 6s and do as much damage. The akitsuki with dual 5.5 is one of the best dds.

i actually though jap was an amazing country to start with. i lvld up so much faster twing in my kagero then i did in my oclass. of course i was only aiming for cv so i just went kagero and the aki with 5.5 dual's which is a very good dd. but like other ppl said, bb's blow till yamato which is a long ways to go. Basically if ur a tw or want to fast track to cv's, go ijn.
