well... first off. this belongs in the tips and tactics or general discussion maybe.

but anyways, it depends on what you like doing, and what you plan on doing later in the game.

If you enjoy shooting at range. go German. but be warned that it is more challenging than other nations.

If you'd rather get up close and slug it out with other ships, go British.

The Japanese have good torps and torping ships. but after lvl 50 or so, it gets very hard to lvl up to the Super Yamato.

The Americans are pretty much average in everything, but are good at establishing air superiority with their CVs and AA.

A US Fletcher. Though you might want to plan ahead a bit more than that. Search the forums for the pros and cons of each nation. One thing though: to get to high level you'll have to spend a lot of time, whichever nation you choose.
