i tried dido today

boy it sucks

the 6" does measly dmg -.-"

and i thought RN suppose tp pack the most punch

i say get as much stuff as u can

but defo by the 6" doubles and belt it up

If you like cl ca games then go with all deck and i know this might sound stupid but i
did like 10-15k in those by waiting for the long range cl ca to kill each other then jsut
go in and demolmish them in ur range because your are very underestimated..

But if you are in a dido then mix it up lil on belt lil on deck and so on

I would like to know if you should have deck armor and what is a good amount to have

There are several threads on the dido and how to outfit it, when to get it, what
guns to use etc. Suggest you read through them since they are full of some great
info and different opinions.
Toss a few points into bulkhead then the rest into belt. You have no range so you'll
have to get in close and leg hump people. This means their shots will be striking
your belt.
Personally never bothered with torps, UK ones suck at low level and I always
preferred the extra armor.
Guns: first useable set of 5.25s come at level 30 (earlier set has crappy reload), but
the dido is better with the dual 6s at level 33. Once I got the dual 6 Ns, I never
switched until I got an edin. Loaded a HE heavy in one spot and HE light in the
other. Then let my gunners level away so my spread would improve... some might
say to use the Ls, but just wasn't worth it for me... all depends on your gameplay
style.

Since you're almost 33, wait until then, no point in buying a set of guns for half a
level then losing some of their value when you trade up to the 6s.

for amor put all belt for torps put in 2 on each the use the 5.25" duals until you get
to lvl 33 then you can use the dual 6" and i will advise you to use dual 6 when you
can use them
