Hip hip Horray got it fixed!! turns out that it was the DEP files afet all , I fell stupid that I could figure it out after all, the problem I was haveing when I first tried to fix it useing DEP. fix is that I was adding it to the wrong file I was place it into a file called Navyfield. I was useing for the players guide and screen shots, lol well the Number one thing you got to remmber is that the file that you WANT to ADD to DEP. is called SDENTERNET it should be in (C:\program files) this Will fix most Windows XP service pack 2 problems, with getting past the patch Udate Crash.

Got the same thing. Get to update server then get a problem message sorry blah blah. Now this has ben going on for over 3 days and I'll reach down the line and stop the heart of any one who says "re install" I 've travel the net geting downloads for the site and waiting hours to run into the same problem. So before we turn of firewalls and pull out graphics cards. I played at the start of the week. I can't play now. There is a problem sure, but I haven't changed my system.

I have the same problem that mattadams007, and i think the graphics card is the problem, i have a intel integrated card "82865G graphics controller", could be that is not enough to run the game?

Cant get past it either, downloading patch from site now..

hmm... right at the monument I'm not useing any fire wall ( only fire wall I have Windows fire wall, but I have it disabled) at least untill I can sort this out.

Thank You for your help "DarkSteel" however downloading the new patch Manualy didn't work (after makeing sure it extracted to the right folder), as for the other suggestion I'm sorry to say I'm not quite sure how to execute that to the previous, could you tell me how?

Was just about to ask if you've done the whole Uninstall Redownload Reinstall thing.

for your firewall makesure you have both tcp ports, 8001 and 16671 forwarded one is for game server one is for Update server.

Try manually downloading the patch off the download section on this website. Or if that doesn't work you might want to try reinstalling your current version of NF.
