Forward ports 8001 and 16671 on your firewall, or make sure you have all NF actions allowed.

also this may help:

try exlucding NF from the DataExecutionPrevention:

A) Go to the Control Panel

B) Double-click on the SYSTEM icon.

C) Click on the ADVANCED tab.

D) Click on the SETTINGS button in the PERFORMANCE section.

E) Click on the DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION tab.

F) Check the checkbox in front of "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"

G) Click ADD

H) Navigate to your NF directory and add the NavyFIELD.exe

or..

Try redownloading NF and turing off the SP2 firewall and any other firewall.

1 are you using a wireless connection, if so this will make it difficult for you to get a good conenction
