Battlecruisers were not designed to fight other BC or BB (even if Lord Fisher want that). Look what happend at Falkands when Scharnhorst & Gneisenau were blowed to pieces. Right used BC is good BC. Myoko with 8"L can be out of range and pwn everything except BC/BB. To use such guns lots of exp/vet is needed. Armouring IJN ship is almost pointless. I using bulkhead to help withstand hits. Once on a Mogami I fit 7" belt/4"deck (and do a skel crew) for one game even the smallest shell did max damage. I remeber when some Z99 with his 6.75" did 600 critical hit on me (hit my side belt - green number). Crazy thing. I using bulge & bulkhead. It works for me. Get also a few good rep/rest (+12 base).

The battlecruiserconcept proved flawed on some points, but for Jutland, as panzer76 mentioned, it wasn't their design that proved fatal. The commanders had put them in the main battleline, where guns and armour would be important, in other words, the place for a battleship but not for a battlecruiser.

yes good point.armoring up an ijn ship wouldnt really matter so much. try getting restorers and repairers.they should help better than armor.getting good long range guns would also help for you are far from the enemy ship keeping you away from his shells.aight?

The best armour for the Myoko is max speed. Really, the small amout of armour you can put on is not going to help much, I would rather have more speed to be able to stay out of range. And oh, the Myoko sucks. You need atleast the 8" L for it to be decent.
