Great Guide! Please note that you can dodge DB's attacking you from any dircetion. Good Db drivers will bring their DB's at you from the rear...so turning to the same direction actually helps them line up. I prefer to turn towards the attacking planes...because this increases the relative speed of the ship to the planes, making dodging easier. All you have to remember is that the bombs will fall forward from the planes in the line of the DB's travel. So when you zig...move your tail first in the direction of the DB travel and then OH and twist your til the opposite way towards the planes...causing the bombs to overshoot.
Please note further that experienced CV drivers know all of this.....there are some...fortunately few...who will abort the attack when you go to the OH zig-zag....and then re-attack you once your OH is depleted....making you more vulnerable. This delay does, however, keep the DB's in the danger zone with possible damage from AA or friendly fighters.
Further note that this also works vs Manual DB...the main problem that with Manual DB, you get no warning about the coming attack and with manual DB the DB's can attack easily from any direction. The best way to counter manual DB is to drive an eratic path from the moment your see the DB's incoming....since Manual DB bombs a point in the ocean, and will only hit you if you happen to be there....being erratic makes it harder for the CV driver to predict the point you will be at when the DB's arrive at the manual DB point.
Have fun.
