To stop spam at the rate it goes at currentlly, I suggest a timed limit for posts.
Gaiaonline has a 1 min timed limit, for this forum a 1-2 min time limit between posts until the spamming problem can be put under control.
It might not stop spam but it will cut back on the ability to spam whore like... well a spam whore.
Any thought's?

That is also a good side affect of it.
I cannot count how many times Gaia has froze while loading the post only to have me refresh and get the "you must wait 60 seconds between each post" message and go, 'thank the gods for the inability to double post quickly'.
That and do you know how much mods loath deleating spam? Esspecially when it is in high numbers? It's half the night if you sit down and try to get rid of as much as you can before going insane.

Flood control seems like a good idea, if nothing, it will help us not double post :D.

To people who think this will make people quit... Another forum I goto has a 100 second (used to be 300 second) flood control thanks to the massive amount of people, and people just learn to cope with it.
