If you play your ship well, you can do almost anything. My Northampton with 3 2x6"47 DP
managed to get over 4k from fighters.

It all comes down to how you play your cards, and you can make any ship at least competent.

The US has the Best AAW Unit, or when i started playing they were quoted in having
them...i found out that was Not true and now its just best AAW Defense. Which is quite
usless...there are some that will say its great, but when the AAW shot planes down AFTER
they bomb you. its usless...IMHO....


Best thing is just use RLD gunners...for now

AA gunners only give a AAW stat not a RLD or ACC stat like KM has good rld

Unfortunately, the AA stat only serves to help shipboard AA machine guns. Otherwise, the
only stats AA gunners use are Acc and Rel. The US has some very well-rounded AA guns, but
does not do very well in the speed category compared to the UK Pompoms or the KM
rapid-fire AA. It also doesn't do very well in terms of range, as compared to the IJN AA.
However, any player who knows how to use their US AA should be very capable of taking
down almost entire squadrons of planes in one or two volleys, as opposed to almost ten or
twenty for the spamming AA I see all the time.
