This is to be used only to suggest changes.

There have been many, many, omg MANY Sub suggestion threads and topics, so here is the idea.

You guys all pick some of the concepts, ideas buffs nerfs etc from all the other threads
and add them here.

While you are welcome to discuss why a change would or would not work, keep it to a
logical and clear discussion.

No - "you are only a BB whinner"
No - "You are bias sub driver" in fact any insults will have their post hidden

Make your point - Make it clearly, make it once - anything else will be thermonuked as
will all other sub threads from here on in really.

Tell SDE what you want to see from Subs and sub play with BB play etc for the future

I'll keep checking in and see what you guys have come up with, there is some brilliant
ideas I have read thus far and look forward to them all in one thread and see where it
progresses, hopefully to a positive conclusion where, at least most of the community will
be happy with the changes (if any)

I like the Idea of different depths for the subs but I would want more control over it
like going from depths of 0 feet to 500 feet. Thus cause ASW ships to set there DC or HH
to different depths to hit the subs.

I guess it would be a lot of work to do this. But might add more of a real feel to
hunting subs and driving subs.

How about changing the time you have before you are kicked out for not controlling
your ship. Subs can take a long time to get into firing position. Last thing you want
to do is give away your position. I've had this happen twice. It realy stinks after
sitting in a room for 5-8 min then getting ready to shoot and then see ya.

Several good ideas I approve of:

Battery option (Engineer req'd), recharge on surface.

Air recharge system or Snorkel (up/down) Planesman required.

How about adding a 4th level:
1)Surface,
2)Snorkel/periscope depth,
3)Cruise, and
4)crash dive.

Surface and periscope depth for torpedoes on ships.
Cruise depth uses battery and air, but less detection from ASW.
Cruise depth torpedoes only for SS vs SS, require periscope depth to sink ships.
Sonar only in Cruise or crash dive, no overhead except shadows.
Crash dive DP should be zero, but you use air more rapidly and if your battery goes
out on CD, you die. Should be able to move (slowly) in crash dive and only lose air
(faster rate) and battery. Bulkhead armor reduces crash dive damage cost, but very
heavy.
Battery run low on cruise or periscope depth would cause you to surface. Snorkel
would provide slow rebuild of air, surfacing would replenish tanks a lot quicker.
Snorkel is visible (small and no ID), periscope is not visible.

Battery power should be used more rapidly when at full throttle or overheat while
underwater. Battery constantly drains at some slow rate. Surface recharges battery
power and air quickly. Higher level SS could have exhaust pipe and snorkel systems
to recharge batteries at periscope depth.

New control panel to use these features.

ASW should be a dedicated ship (FF/DD/CL1) and be fitted with a sonar FCS only.
Sonarman required and better sonar pickup. Audible ping would be heard by both
ASW and SS if detected. Higher level sonarman increases range of pickup. Because
of the 4th level added, Depth charges and Hedge Hogs would need a depth setting
or they would not be as effective (0-4 setting).

New control panel for ASW

Something to help the SS1/2 become more competitive.

Add full complement of support sailors (Restore, Repair, Seaman, Engineer,
Sonarman, Planesman).

You mean just like the destroyers that are there to oppose you? Although I guess
we get the bonus that our ships do not cost to repair.

Whats with us Sub players getting screwed over when it comes to the experience you get in
the game. Lvl for lvl and doing the same amount of damage, the BB's are getting way more
experience. Also we are getting screwed because as you all know when your crew become to
high of for the ship you begin getting less and less experience. Nf has not fixed this nor
have they give us new subs to play with in the game and has made it so you almost have to
buy a premium account if you want any kind of exp for your crew when they are higher
level. Please fix this issue

Allow us to sell the guns on the ship, so that it makes the sub faster underwater since
it would be more hydrodynamic. Also make new subs or remodels so that us sub players who
are to high of level for the current ones dont have to lose experience anymore. Besides
this game is long over due for SS5 and SS6 subs

A lot of valid points about nerfing this and that have been made from both sides of
sub and bb players. BBs can do over 150k+ attack games because of the way they
are built. Subs on the other hand can rarely get over 100k attack and even when
they do they max out around 150k ish and for what very little xp compared to what
BBs get in return.

Subs are part of this game whether people like it or not but to continue to nerf subs
even more is only adding insult to injury. Everybody that plays this game wants to
get some attack every game.

Worst part about being a sub player is that this game is terrible about 3D
calculations when subs are diving and the amount of damage they take even when
they are fully dived or near fully dived compared to when a sub just started it's
critical dive. If the programming could be changed to change the amount of damage
on subs based on critical diving times that may help reduce damage from HH.

1) Premium HH are way to overpowered.
2) Idea of BBs doing more damage just because they shot close to the sub has been
horrific compared to trying to shoot another ship of equal or less size. If that was
the case shooting a DD/FF would be dead or near dead all the time based on
splash. Now subs take half life away from BB fire that comes close or even when
subs are in dive mode.
3) Increase XP for subs to help leveling up. Not fair to do over 100k attack and win
the game and only get around 20-30k xp when BBs same game same attack would
get 50k plus.

if you've done pretty submarine so you should not talk here and complained about what they
take away. I have put a lot of vets on submarine and its great.To speed them move, and
similar things, but then nothing with them not included.do not be lazy and do them
properly and now you change your mind.

I am satisfied with them.I do not want them to change.Its good.
