Maybe it's a fail for you because it doesn't suit you. For some it works.

Both setups are fail.

AW setup is too slow to catch up to, well, anything, and so can only kill useless noobs.
Smart players will simply outrun an AP you.

SW setup still has a glass jaw and cant dish out firepower worth crap, so any half decent
player will again own you.

Well it's understandable...yammy drives urge for speed...and some ijn drivers urge for
armor...so they try things like that...i'll try the SW setup, might be interesting

There was this Yamato a few months back that bounced two complete 9 shell L2 salvos at
angles 40 and 39.

I got about 2-3k attack on it for those two salvos.

It was actually kind of impressive at the time.

just when there was a trend in NY server, in which alot of Nelson BBs were only carrying 2
front guns instead of 3

after awhile, that trend died with the time. Maybe same thing will happen in this case

Two reasons:
AW Yammy with 9.7"+ deck armor running at 34+knots
SW Yammy running at 42+ knots

anyway... both setups are fun..

Mckx was pretty damn good with a 2 gunned SY for some time.

2 gunned yamato's are food in today's BB5 GBs though. (you need that 3rd gun to
do significant damage, and to be able to corrently play a line battle)

Depends on the set up. 2 guns ship doesn't necessarly mean a fail, hell you can even
wtfbbqown. I am talking about those Yammy that can cruise 45 knots OH+AA.

Did that kind of set up on friend account, really enjoy the WTFBBQ when armoured whore is
trying to chase you or sometime you ninja rush and let them eat the 18".
