My AA gunners are falling behind because i have the 8 supports i need for nebby, so 2
repairers go on the T slots. My BO is level 86 and my AA gunners are at level 64. should
i rotate the AA gunners around with the 4 repairers which are all around level 80? i also
have another BO at nevada level i can use.

Whats nice about USN AA class gunners being useless is that normal gunners are used
instead. This means you can use either set as main gunners.

As you said you have your 8 supports for your nebby, I assume you are planning to use the
AA gunners on the nebby as well. That being the case you will need to rotate them, or you
will have a long grind on 2 sailors when the rest of your crew is at level.

I have tried a couple different approaches and both seem about the same.

1) 2 Lines, take the first one up until you get really tired of it, then start the second.
Both lines use both sets of gunners.

2) 2 lines, take the first one up until you get really tired of it, then start the second.
Use only 1 set of gunners on each line using the extra space for support sailors.

The first one is the way I typically do it. I'd like to keep the cost of experts/vets
down and AA is the best way to get them without paying. Beyond that, xp from AAing is
just phenomenial.

The second way gets your overall supports better in line. Either way you are still likely
going to have to rotate sailors at some point.

Another thing to think about or consider, Depending on how many sailors you do on the
first line and how much rotating you feel like, if you do a second line with a little
rotation you can actually raise more sailors than you need. Provides extra sailors for
your fleet, for sale, or as spares. I see a few more people doing this lately and am
actually trying now as well. 1 Extra sailor at 100-110 and you've paid off your bb6.

Well, some actually would opt more for speed because USN ship's major long term flaw
is lack of range, dropping the aa guns and crew for that although it's not to my very
liking. See also if your reload gunners had reached the ability cap for the highest aa
gun. If so, then they don't really need to level them much and thus save you some
weight space.

You could also do the switching if you like, or, heck, level them in another nation.

If you have access to Pensacola then put your worries to rest as prem ships don't need
BOs to operate.
