  • Patrol Boats/ Corvette Ships

*** READ THIS*** I know this has been suggested before, but i want everyone to
see my sprites and at least consider this with an open mind.

I am thinking a ship about half the size of a FF, nationalized, or just higher levels,
would be a wonderfull addition. They would be about half the size of FF, carry 2 to 4
torpedos, and one or two pompom machine guns. They would be faster than FF. This
would give a job for CL and CA to do, besides just being food for others, or overused
AA. This also would provide more ASW.

Some sprites i drew up to show my ideas.

FFH, a frigate on hydrofoils. Hydrofoils have been used before WW2 so dont say its
not used in WW2.

We have turtle ship isn't enough ?

Maybe SDE is remove first asw option for vessel class: cl,ca,cb,pca,pcl,pbb,BB,Cv stargate
universum is in other channel.

I like that idea

Also every one is saying they should be AA or ASW or blah blah blah. But we already
have ships to do that, they should be like a scout-ship that has a better sight range
and used to scout ships. All should have guns doing like a max of 40 damage and
the most powerful have WEAK torps to attack.

Use the systems scouts have: teirs, space on a ship and launch it the same way.

These could be a new ASW class-only ship,purpose built ships, with special sonar and
better maneuverability. Sonarman levels for better TCS and range detection. Hedge
hog and Depth Charge fittings. Light guns.

Disable regular FF and DD or CL ships from sonar use. Remove Hedge hog fittings on
regular ships.

good idea, but i think even ff can't do much except for scouting and good ASW... as for
corvette... what does it will do in battle?... should they serve same purpose as ff? or
will they be different? if they serve same as ff then a ff is more than enuf... if they're
different, then i would like to give it a try to... xD

Patrol boats dp should be like 900 or something like that if half the size of an FF.

Good Idea and this might add good other game plays.

So to be creative how about make these ship take damage from the Ship Auto
20mm AA like the plane do, just like when a plane get to close they take on machine
gun damage.

This will prevent these ship for humping and give a little more advantage to larger
ships, these ships have RAT speed and size so the trade off will be good.

i like the idea. but half the size of a FF? thats tiny. i mean TINY. there is like a less
than 20% chance to hit that. its hard enough to hit the FF already. but i like the idea.
but i think it would be alot more reasonable to just use the FF's they have now for the
tasks you say theyd be used for. maybe add more, higher level and better, FF's? and on a
diffrent note.. i think SD wants it to be a WW2 accurate game. i dont think in WW2 they
had a class of ships to do all the tasks you were saying. but its a good idea and adding
higher level FF's would be interesting
