Introduction
Because a lots is don't know what is Hedgehog lets see the characteristic :

That object can fly 20.km?

#1.For a single bomb

* Calibre: 7 in (178 mm)
* Weight: 65 lb (29 kg)
* Shell Diameter : 7.2 inches
* Shell Length: 3 feet 10.5 inches
* Explosive charge: 30 lb TNT or 35 lb (16 kg) Torpex
* Range: about 250 yards (200 to 259 m)
* Sinking speed: 22 to 23.5 ft/s (6.7 to 7.2 m/s)
* Fuse: Contact, High Explosive
* Firing Order: Ripple in pairs, one every tenth of a second
* Reload Time: ~3 minutes

[edit] Variants

* Mark 10: elliptical pattern measuring about 140 x 120 feet to a range of 200 yards
* Mark 11: circular pattern measuring 200 feet in diameter out to a range of about 188
yards.

The actual range of HH is like a CL(light cruiser)guns 15 to 20km amazing no?
So what gas propulsion or guns powder can BOOST the RANGE of 259m* to 20.000m?
Keeping snobbery the idiocracy of false presumption to keep balance in favor of big ships
maybe?No thx.

Is a simple HH not mini rocket see photo.

#2. An unsuccessful attack does not hide the submarine from sonar.

When a depth charge explodes it can take 15 minutes before the DISTURBANCE* can settle
down enough that sonar becomes effective. Many submarines escaped during the time after an
unsuccessful depth charge attack. Since Hedgehog charges only explode on contact, if they
miss, the submarine can still be tracked by sonar.

The Hedgehog's CONTACT* charge, on the other hand, had the cushion on the other side,
actually increasing the explosive shock. However near-misses with the Hedgehog did not
cause cumulative damage as depth charges did; nor did it have the same psychological
effect as a depth charge attack.

Proximity weapons (such as depth charges) need to be set for the target's correct depth to
be effective. Contact fused charges don't have that limitation. In addition, any explosion
indicates a 'hit'*

Conclusion:

I. Range maxim of HH :
250yards 260m , with NF buff 500m(two length of BB).

II. Disturbance Sonar if is hit, DC blind sonar 15min with NF buff 1min*.

III. No hit no explosion,pls report just one surface ships receive HH hit.

We can accept buff of SDE but no lies grossly tricked monkeys or kindergarten children,
we know the truth so :put dam the poll vote for HH.

Explain yours non like points or recom.

redite:
*PHH = +25% range after Poll vote,not reloading or other.**hamann
*blind sonar 2min to 1min

2 minutes without sonar midas well be two hours as the sub will be all the way on the
other side of the map. That makes it unplayable. The high level subs already can absorb
way more damage then their WWII predecessors, surviving hits from large caliber guns when
even 5"s could kill them with a single hit by holing the pressure hole. The HH makes it
more balanced. Just leave the current system alone.

Still i acept double(x2) of normal range = 500m and for PHH 750m triple of BB
length,i think that is enough to keep NF spirit no?
Keeeping HH x2.000(Two thousand)range is a huge bulls*it of $DE.

What balance boost HH to 2.000 range ?and BB lost under HH bombard?

''A direct hit by 1 or 2 Hedgehog bombs was usually sufficient to sink a submarine.''

The Germans sub is dive fast and more deep like other;and silence,not all is was sink
under HH bombard.The DC can explode in any depth when you know the type of sub,the HH no.

If its going to be a hit for hit, then the HH should sink the sub if one hits him... just as
real life ;)

"A direct hit by 1 or 2 Hedgehog bombs was usually sufficient to sink a submarine."

a crappy source, but a source thats usable

btw, the HH sunk more submarines at a higher rate than the Charges did

Yeah, if NF = RL, I should be able to take my VIIC and put 2 torps under the keel of
any BB and break it in two! ;-) Imagine the whining and complaining that would
happen in that scenario, yet I hear all too often that "SS shouldn't sink me in 12
torps, that's unrealistic! SS OP!!!" More like SS UP... friggin BB's, making their keels
out of adamantium nowadays!
