when applying boost usually you wanna boost a elite or base 12 sailors
Potentials sailor base 15 or 16 can be boosted for planesman or other stats thats
+12 + if u decided to boost a base +11 u would need extra vetting so you can gain
some SD to match with your opponence NO do not boost a +5 +6 +7 +8 +9 +10
because someone with a bigger ship or maybe a cv will make your ship pee even
with armoring.

Sonlirain is right, when you apply boost you can clearly see that the 20% boost goes
to both growth AND ability. Which means boosting at any time does not negatively
affect that sailor.

you can boost at any lvl and they will still give the 20% ability increase but thats
only affecting its base growth and thats only given to it as it lvls not overall ability
gets boosted 20%

General rule of thumb with boosting boost asap and if it isnt boosted after about lvl
76 it isnt worth boosting unless its a fp or engy because fp have no cap so theres
nothing to reach it just makes ur fp that little bit better and engys will hit their speed
cap possibly depending on ship but they can always make their oh time longer

Yes its a flat 20% boost

Lets say we have 2 sailors. Both have 10 growth rate and 100 ability.

We boost one of them and hos growth and he now has 12 growth 120 ability

After several levels the boosted sailor has 12 growth and 1200 while the unboosted one has
10 growth and 1000 ability.

Now if we boost the second sailor he would have 12 growth and 1200 ability as well.

Generally its best to boost sailors early on to make leveling easier.
