I had to re-download the latest client on my older laptop two days ago, and it does NOT
have the SPR patches/fixes in it. I was still directed to download and install the SPR
patch for the SN ship sprites.

Gooseman, this is what I did on my laptop and it worked fine afterwards for me (granted
this was on XP and crashed me several times until I did it this way).

Uninstall NF, delete SD Enternet folder from your computer.
Download Client 1.315 from CNET link.
Install NF and ENFUNS Updater.
DO NOT RUN NF YET.
Download and Install Patch 1.315 (the PATCH includes the SPR fix for SN ships, the client
does NOT!)
NOW try running NF and see if you are able to start it and log in. This is the only thing
that worked for me on my XP laptop. FYI you may crash the first time, and maybe the second
as well, you load NF after doing all of this, but you should be able to log in and play
after doing this. Hope this helps and solves your issue!

yes.. it must be all of our computers.

Goose...perhaps try install full latest client. BEFORE even opening game. Go to sprouts file and delete all sprites and
let the updater re download the sprites... See if that works.

I and my friend had very similar problem when trying to install the game this week and
last week respectively.

Maybe ask someone you trust to email/torrent the missing file to you.

OK- the latest.

Full system clean of anything and everything NF.
Restart
Install latest 1.315 client.
disabled AV throughout whole process
confirm port forwarding
select Run as administrator
Hackshield runs after checking for updates.
as the game goes to full screen "navyfield.exe has stopped working"

My laptop runs higher end games than NF and I have run NF on this for years and nothing
has changed on it.

Nyer - I have already downloaded the latest client from download. Same issue.

I don't run Norton AV. However I will kill the game AGAIN and clear my laptop of it in
registry etc. I will then disable my AV and install and try run from there.

Vanity - the file it errors on during the system file check is 7/121 - ITPGSY0601.spr

I have checked the NF folder and it doesn't exist, hence the error.

I will try it all again and see what happens.

your antivirus is killing the auto patch file... (you are probably using Norton if this is
happening)

disable it for a few minutes, download, reenable and boom you should be able to play
