  • Reynaud price. Too much?

Isnt the french ECL Reynaud too expensive?
Compared to the other nations ECL?

Japan Yubari is 70k,
German Emden is 90k,
GB Emerald is 100k,
US Omaha is 110k,
->French Reynaud: 300k,
Only soviet Chapayev costs 300k too.

Even higher lvl french CLs are cheaper:
lvl 28 Pluton: 145k,
lvl 32 Duguay Trouin: 178k,
lvl 34 Jeanne D Arc: 211k,
lvl 36 Emile Bertin: 178k,


You know for new player it is quite difficult to put together such amount of credits.
Im at lvl 27 and my account balance is 30717 credits after I purchased Mogador.

Is there any special reason for this?

that i didn't notice also :D... i rarely been sunk when i use reynaud :D

and probably its parts for repair is imported so its expensive :D

mn need to pay piracy penalty for copying emden so they higher the price :D

Reynauds are expensive because they have to pay German shipyards to build the
whole ship, then move it to France on floating drydocks where it is extensively
repainted and rebranded, before being put into service.

This is more cost-intensive compared to a locally designed and built ship.

Yea, working on two shiplines, low on cash, I sold my Reynauld to move back to the Mogador.
Suddenly, I had 500k in my pocket. lol

o.O i owned a reynaud for since it was released and i didn't notice the price lol...

i think we could cut down by 50%
150k would be ok

cause its a useful ecl, it can be a competitive ship in blitz same time an aa/asw in gb1/2
and a good choice to players who dont like pluton

SDE figures the only players who will actually make it to the MN emden are those with huge
incomes.

The cost/worth is understandable, as its the only useful CL till balance.
