Hi Guy's

Yes i've done a bit of a search on the forum and have tried the soloutions already
given.

I've tried change the combatability of NF & Launcher to Windows XP- This just give
me so much lag that i freeze until the game crashes.

I've tried changing to Windows 98 - this gets rid of the lag issue and but crashes the
game after about 2-4 min's.

I've turned off every other backround program that i can before launching the game
and still nothing, also tried a clean reload of NF and still the same problems.

I'm pretty sure its not my PC cos i can run every other game fine, maybe it's the fact
NF is an old game and can't handle it. But i know other users with W7 get on fine
with it.

I'm getting pretty fed up, so any help would be great.

Many thanks

So try to follow the Rooster's advice - use virtual machine with Windows XP (or
Win98)... It can really help you.
You have several options:
- use VirtualBox (Sun Microsystems) ... its free ....
- use VMWare (if not best - one of the best at present time) ... they have several free
products - you can find it on their website ...

having same problem, all of a sudden odd lag. When someone leave the lobby my game
freezes for a couple seconds. If a new lobby is created, I lag till it refreshes.

New update maybe?

*edit - Every windows, anything will lag the game for 3 seconds. Long with someone
dieing, also happened when you take a good die as well.

btw, what is your connection speed? if is is 56k then we have your problem. if it is
like 1mbs, then you it must be some kind of combatibillity issure. If that is the
problem, then try running it in a virtual macine with xp as the OS.
