Since they didn't keep the old post, I took the liberty of posting this again. Please make it so that NavyField can be played in both full screen and windowed mode. This is VERY useful if you guys read the old posts. This has been suggested back in February but apparently, neither teamNF nor the mod team responded to this.

I like to have that option open for those of us who has the RAM, CPU, and High-end video
cards to burn.

Many times Nf crashes when starting up, freezes my comp and I can't alt-tab out of
it, it is much easier to recover if it was windowed.

Running in windowed mode usually kills your RAM moreso than the usual Navy Field client
does but it's a nice thing to do for kicks.

it doesn't really matter about the rez if the zoom bug isn't fixed. as soon as they fix
that and many other listless things, then a windowed client might be in the near future
(excuse my oxy-moron)

Well I know nothing bout comps so laugh all you want. But I dunno how to get it to
work since you need to launch it from updater not Navyfield file itself. Unless theres
some way to bypass the launcher. Only thing I can think of is using a 3rd party prog,
so if anyone knows how otherwise plz msg me or post.

actually it can already be run in window'd mode if you know how to edit the .exe command
file. I am not going to go into detail how to do that, but Obst already pointed out a few
problems, aka screen res and etc, so you have to at least have the screen res higher than
the battle room or else it messes up the game. I don't have that problem so much since I
run this one at 1440 by 900 (Wide screen).

For those of you that played Diablo 2 back in the day, its the same way you edited the
launch shortcut to get it to go into windowed mode.

PS: I just tried it and it works, it can go into windowed mode in that fashion, but now
here is the fun part...who can figure it out :D After I get off work in 8h if no one has
figured it out ill send a message to Obst to let him get a laugh :D

lolol, i'd rather run that program with japanese / koren text in it to get it into
windowed mode than spend thousands on a mac i'd hardly use.....
the fact they're essentially glorified PC now days with a different operating system
on doesn't help, reason windows runs on a mac is because of this, thats why you
wont find bootcamp on pre-intel Mac's....

anyhow.....
Navyfield actually officially developing and supporting windowed mode is much more
preferable to using another program alongside it with potentially unpredicitable
results, but if needs must at some point in the future i'll use it.

By a MAC and run the game then you can have your windowed mode. Yes a MAC
very l33t to a PC. And yes with the new MACS you can run windows if you want to
so you can play NF on them even thought there is no MAC support for this game
what a dissapointment.
