  • make mercenaries in HA bannable

well basically its just not right.

so we should make mercenaries in HA bannable.

edit: like this so much i want this to be the main aspect thanks sait

imple solution to this would be to make the penalty for leaving and re signing with
other fleets increase .. also to charge a monetary fee to the person who dose it.

As an example if you leave your fleet and join a new fleet it costs you the first time
in 2 months 200K and 7 days then if you do it again the amount and time penalty
increases say to 2 weeks and 600K make it so there is a 2 or three month reset
meaning that you have to stay in a fleet or fleet less for this period before it costs
you nothing again to sign.

This way the Merc's will cost more and more and over time be harder to find as their
fees will become to much for the opposing fleets to afford. the costs of a HA will
increase having to pay for guys to not only join the fleet but to declare ...

this will also slow serial fleet jumping on a whim people will think about it more and
do it less.

In the past the large HA fleets were able to slug it out in (fleet size-wise) epic battles
at least twice a week, sometimes (with an attack and a defence) even twice a day.
Later on, when the schedules became messed up and the numbers of people within
fleets able/willing to show up for HA was dwindling, there was so much ranting about
the attacking fleets being a joke.

Since then the suggestions've been rewarded with changes to the game such as the
payments for losing a declared HA along with some (reluctantly introduced) half baked
HA rules further limiting the possibilities for pretenders (2 week gap). Now the ranting
continues as fleets cannot handle one attack per week despite of all of that?

Makes it seem to me mercs are just a symptom of a game that has been running for
too long, of aging traditional fleets and a game mode that has never been set up
properly. Everyone and their granny has a BB6 nowadays and wants to bring it to the
show. So they just check up who is attacking the harbor that is to their liking (i.e.
within a time zone that suits them best) and swap over to it. Presto: El cheapo Harbor
Assault for the long neglected masses.

Mercs may be a nuisance yet are not the real problem. A broken HA is, though- and has
been the problem all along if people'd just think back to when it was first introduced
and how it has since developed.

Long story short:
The HA and fleet system were designed so that fleet jumping so relentless was useless. The
HA became less frequent and thus the corresponding measure to avoid fleet jumping became
obsolete. The penalty should be brought up to 7+ days in order to keep up with the
changes. Recc'd

I think it's a worthless Idea...
The guy who suggested this idea belongs to Playmates, one of the biggest and
strongest
Fleet in the Arizona Server. Probably The paid mercs should be banned, but the not
payed,
or the allied fleets who participate in HA's shouldnt be banned... it's a friendship
thing
with other fleets.

You reject my idear cause of the fleet i come from ... LOL good argument :-)

this has no effect on teh argument but in my eyes, i'd rather have a fleet declaring on us
every 2 weeks (like, for example, FG declare, lose, then declare 2 weeks later) than
hopping and then declaring on us the next week from the eyes of a different tag..

my reasoning for this is hamburg is at 2am for me and it is crushing to do it every
weekend, as i have a 6 day week (+work) and i needs my sleepz0rz.

however, if they want to do it i dont have a massive problem with it.

what i wanna see from here-on-in:

less flaming about certain fleets (which im not going to mention), and more reccommend's
and possible ideas/criticisms about the idea, which we are all here to read.

People are saying the exact opposite: there's nothing wrong with paid mercenaries, but
having half your force be in your fleet just for the day of the HA goes against the
premise of a fleet.

If you're that friendly, just merge your fleets.

Really, the only thing I see that's wrong here is how people are using this to get around
the 2-week penalty after losing. I don't have a problem with anything else.

only has to see the post and you will see (if you want to watch).
Where to call "ban" for the mercenaries, which throughout this post are treated as
stupid.
And is it clear who called the Latino community, MERCENARIES.
I hope that any responsible, willing to work, take cards, in the case.

Then we can see the epic battle: Jedi, PM, Regalia, etc vs FG, Chille, ARA etc?
