  • Getting CV Drivers back flying again - Discussion

Hi All,

While im feeling all proactive.

Calmly and rationally - What keeps you out of your CV?

How do we get you back in your CV playing again?

Again - Please keep this clear of speculation, insults. Everyone has their right to a
viewpoint or reason, debate it but do so with reason and back it up.

If not or you cant, then leave it

Yes no doubt this has been discussed to death, but is also a major issue in NF today
resulting in games taking too long to load etc. Yes I also know there is the CV wish list
thread.

This is a temporary quick fire solution suggestion thread - Keep it short and concise

Heres a couple for you

1) Crew death
2) Player abuse (bullying and insults)
3) TB's DB's shortened range
4) Locals need resolving (?)

Added (by community)
1) Torp/DB Damage review

What keeps me out of my cv, is the over-powered T4 fighters. My lvl 96 11/11 US FP
dont last vary long at all against any T4 fighter. The only fighters that seem to have
a chance is my KM elete FP. But thats only against T3 (they are only in the T2 fp atm)

But yeah, the T4 FP are seriously over-powered, all you can do in a lower level cv is
bomb.. Because the T4's cant always get the slower bombers until they drop their
bombs.

I've been arguing for CVs for a long time now. The simple answer is attack and exp.
Give CVs more opportunities to use bombers and you'll have more CV players.

FWing is BORING and you don't do anything besides fight opposing CVs.

Give torpedo and dive bombers more range and increase damage by 30%. Or increase
range and reduce load time by 30%. CVs are no fun if you can't attack the BBs
(especially at high levels).

The one thing that is getting me to think about stopping playing my CV is the verbal abuse
from other players because CVs arent doing what they want, basically scouting where they want.

I would also like to see planes fuel faster, that would be a large help.

most things, but i feel left out when i dont comment. :(

so yea dont mind me, i randomly drop comments in the attempt to fuel further
debate. at the time i may have thought i was almost slightly right while at the same
time knowing i was just waffling alot hahahaha.

AA in general has never been an issue for me, enemy AA anyway, but I do
tend to lose more planes to friendly fire. Then again 99% of the AA is just
spam for people don't even seem to aim anymore.

Overall this thread is pointless because with the fighter patch we were force
feed what was thought to bring CVs back. So where are they?

Update:

You MUST STOP AAwhoring madness!!!
BBs do AAwhoring instead of shoting ships!
CAs do AAwhoring instead of shoting ships!
CLs do AAwhoring instead of shoting ships!
DDs do AAwhoring instead of shoting ships!
Heck i saw even FFs do AAwhoring!
And ALL of them are willing to KILL any number of FRIENDLY planes to get even the chance
to kill an enemy plane.

How one can play CV when is surrounded by 3-4-5 cretinoids spamming AA over him?
Enemy's planes can be dodged, murderous TK-ing AAwhores can not!
It's a fact that in a GB2 are at most 6 CVs. 8 of them is as rare as a white whale.
So, do something about the TK-ing AAwhores or the CVs will be soon history.

the only nation dureing the war that was heavily into cv aircraft bombing was the
japs. most brit carriers mainly had fightrs and the same for the americans too i
would guess. cv's where not used to attack other ships at sea but to protect the
battle ships from aerial attacks from enenmy bombers.

lol

This is so wrong.

By the end of WWII, a typical Essex air group was over 100 aircraft, consisting of :

2 fighter squadrons of 36 F6Fs
2 dive bomber squadrons of 36 SB2Cs
1 torpedo squadron of 18 TBM Avengers

in the real world CV's are not support type right?they carry planes to bomb and in this game CV's
played as a support because AA gunners easily kill DB's/Tb's..for sure people would get back on their
CV if they make the CV's DB/TB do awsome dmg or cant be easily killed by AA..that's what i though
cause alot of my friends who has CV6 are saying that..now a days CV's are only carrying FP's
because for credits only, not dor winning the game..that's all.
