I'm here to tell you guys who always seem to ask me how I manual dive bomb or
are wanting to learn.

The Pro's Of manual dive bombing:

-hitting border humpers
-Team killing (whoopie!!! :P)
-helps hit turning ships
-can hit ships when not at maximum altitude(to dodge aaw)

Con's
Hard to learn
Auto can be better to hit cvs or non moving ships

Step one:

Load planes like normal. Some people think that there is a trick when you load your
planes - their isn't. This may seem obvious, but is important - only dive bombers can
dive bomb.

Step Two:

Wait for your planes to reach maximum altitude then Right click where you want
them to go around the enemy. Wait for them to cricle.

Step Three:

HOLD Semicolin button. (the button that looks like this ===> ; )

Step Four:

LEFT CLICK Where you want to dive.

Step Five:

Hit the period button before your divebombers get shot down and when you think
you are above the enemy ship.

(Couldn't get a screenie of this as it was too hard to press ; . and print screen
button at the same time. If someone has a screenie of this please pm me it.

Step Six:

Have fun trying this at the beginning as it is very hard but once you get the hang of
it it is very easy and a powerful move to show off with when trying to join a fleet.
I use it on BB's because CV's are generally easier to auto dive bomb.

Recommendations are welcomed, and thanked in advance.

Best Regards,

Stimba

Nice guide.
Does anyone use a plug in or anthing to help organize your planes?
Mine seems to be spread thin.

I'm glad that NF got something right at least...and if you don't want to hassle with
DBing, go RN! Nuclear TBs!!

nope i just tested it in game, once manual bombing target is selected, right click
move to anothe location cancels the bombing order. Note that like firing your guns, it
takes a second or so for the command to register.

Also, during a manual dive, if you don't tell them to release the bomb, the DBs will
dive with out dropping the bomb and climb back to cruise height and circle around
the targeted area.

Note that both in real life and navy field, the pull up after a dive cannot be cancelled.
In real life the pull up part of the dive bombing run is completely automated by the
plane itself and it will pull itself up from a dive once the plane detects that the plane
is below the bomb release point. It's automated because there's a chance that the
pilot may become unconscious due to blackout from G forces during the pull up.

@Temstar
Actualy after left clicking I have tried to click somewhere else on the screen but the
DBs dive for the point I have selected and they do not climb back unless I drop the
bombs; they just dive in to the sea. What do I have to do to cancel their dive or
even change direction before they dive???

to cancel, just tell them to move somewhere else. Alternatively simplely don't let
them drop the bomb and have another go after they climbed back up.

The main use is to hit border humpers and people under clouds. Note that another
advantage is that it allows you to fly your DB in at below cruising height to avoid the
golden angle AA. However auto DB also allows you to do this if you know the UBER
HAX trick.
