I don't. it's gone far beyond simple "we're saving money" excuses. when they include measures such as "Unions will be barred from collecting union dues from public sector employees", it's instant proof that it's union busting by the State Government above and beyond any potential savings. I'm sure the Corporate benefactors insured he and the republicans were well greased in the last state election in terms of campaign contributions, and have been lobbying for these changes, as opposed to any that would hurt their own financial interests (the owners & CEOs) at the expense of the workers.
not that I'm saying Unions aren't perfect, I've been in a couple of Private Sector ones, and while I don't agree with how some of the Public Sector ones operate (from a taxpayer and user of services perspective), simply taking the axe to them as a collective whole isn't the solution, no matter how "dire" things are made out to be.
