Ok, got a big problem here... I've been playing Navyfield for the past 4 months on an old gaming rig of mine, it ran XP, and navyfield ran wonders, no problems besides going into GB and it took forever to load the ships... only 725 mb of ram XD.
Now, I have a Brand new PC, Nvidea Geforce 7600 GT, 8 GB ram, 2 TB HDD Windows 7 Ultimate... first day I got it, I installed Navyfield and it ran great... for 5 minutes, all of a sudden my anti-virus/Firewall went nuts, it locked everything down, shut Navyfield down, then proceeded to restart my computer, after about 3 times of this happening, I checked my anti-virus and it gave me a code to send to their site, after sending I got a conformation email stating that there was a "T-98.Revolution.taoning.ph" tracker in the program I was using, which basically means that someone or something was trying to get my system information and ISP account after I logged into Navyfield, after doing some IP tracing from the log, I found the source, after going to 9 different cities in the US, it finally gave my a pinpoint on where it came into my port for my ISP... it came from China... now I'm usually not the one to point fingers, but I called the Anti-Virus company and talked to their chief IT guy and he told me that 90/100 times, it will come from the company that produced/runs the game to get insight and information from users that do not pay for services to see if they have a bank or credit card information on their account, if so, the company will auto shut down the game everytime the person tries to log on, trying to get them to buy something from them in order to play the game again... I have sent all information, logs, and emails also the .rpt files to my local Investigational services in case anything happens... no offense but if it says "Free 2 Play" then it should be that way.
I have now tuned my firewall and anti-virus to the point that no information gathering programs can get into my PC, and something strange has happened, I have tried to log in again, around 16 times, and it works until I log in, then it lags horridly, I have found out it has nothing to do with my PC or ISP, so if you guys would love to explain yourselfs, please do... if you could get this resolved, then I don't have to talk to the proper authorities, if not, this is a breach or the International Gaming Privacy and Rights law passed back in 2001, plus breaks about almost every rule in the EULA book, concerning me as a player and my rights, if I choose not to pay, and I chose not to let you people look into my PC, then I can still play and you have to move on to this next victim... seems to me these days, alot of chinese and korean style MMO's are trying to get into a hell of alot of US citizens PC's, this is why I have sent all information to the people that need it, just incase.
I am not threatening, but I am showing some light on this problem, since around 38 other players have had the same problems that I have been having, been talking to them on xfire, and about 90% of them used to be paying customers, but hence, withdrew and uninstalled the game.
If there is a way to fix this so I can actually play the game without it freezing out and dumping about 5.3 GB of raw data into my navyfield folder, that I have to clean out, or it shuts off my PC, then everything will be fine ^^, catch my drift? No legal matters.
TY for your time...? I guess...
