I have the Fuso and the guns range is absolutely horrible,I can't reach other BBs2 while theu easily can,why is that?!

I use level 68 guns for Huge Gunners.
And I use the long range ones.

1 - Use light shells.
2 - IJN Guns have high angles (43-45) so you loose more range when chasing.
3 - They might be using rentals (they have around BB4 range)
4 - KM Gets a large range advantage at lower tiers (mostly diminishes at BB4-5)
5 - Shooting from south to north gives a range advantage.

Anyway load 16" Ds and rush the suckers.

2.Why do I lose range while chasing?
5.You mean if I shoot from south to north my shells will reach further than shooting from east to west?

Hmmm they aren't 16" they are 14",and why should I load Ds and not Ls?
Ls guns shoot for a longer distance don't they?

Which gun to use is a matter of preference. Yes, the range on the 14 L's is slightly longer but if you're rushing in anyway it may not matter much. You lose range while chasing because of the large hangtime if your guns. They're in the air longer so by the time they reach their destination your enemy has probably run out of the way. By south and north he means shooting from south to north vs north to south. It doesn't mean you should be south of your enemy all the time but it's something to make note of to maximize your range.

Just rush when you get an opportunity. It's true, you will get owned if you try to fight other BB's normally.

I see, well I changed my shells to light and I did feel the change of the distance but I still feel it's not enough...
Is there anything else I can do to increase the range?

You dont lose range from chasing, it just appears to be that way. To clarify if you have a high hangtime then your shells stay in the air longer. So if you shoot and run away it seems like you have longer range. Its just that if you are being chased the enemy runs into your shells. If you rush with higher angle shells then it appears you have shorter range but in reality the enemy just has more time to run away.

Shooting from south to north has to do with a bug in the sprites. The south to north range advantage exists because when pointing from south to north, your guns are off the center axis abit to hte north. Its a longtime bug now accepted as game mechanics. The advantage isnt alot but enough to take advantage of if you know what you are doing.

14"Ls will have more range while 16"Ds will have more damage. 14" also have a better spread then 16". The reason some prefer the 16"ds is because the damage is pretty amazing on fuso and the range isnt as bad as say the sodak Ds on colorado. In BB2 v BB2 situations though 14"Ls are the better choice.

Also with 14" Ls you have about the same range as USN which is pretty much at the bottom of the BB2 range ladder. KM with 14.96" will range you, UK will range those and KM with 11" will range everything including BB3.

lol if those guns got longer range, then Fuso would be a really 'horrible' ship. Actually the 14Ls can do decent damages, if your gunners are able to do a 'semi-block' shot.

you need to know when to rush with fuso. I had some of the best games with that ship at level. The firepower of the 16" is wonderfull and its a hell of a fun to see bb4 and bb5 runnign away from you because they dont know their lower angles.

Basically you need to hide at the begining of the game and you see which side (north -south) needs help. At that point try to sneak in unnoticed and start the havoc.

Another tactic i used is stay back shoot anything that get in range and when u see that the enemy is blind start rushing them (try to single out a bb and go kill the poor guy).

However always look around for scout if they see u going in u r dead.

The Fuso is something of an acquired taste. It indeed has low range, even for a bb2, and the gun setup can be annoying for what is best used as a hit-and-run ship. That can be a difficult hurdle, especially if IJN is your first bb nation. However, even with at-level gunners, it still hits like a sledgehammer, so your only obstacle is getting within range. Once there, and especially if you have BB3 level gunners or higher, you are king. Even with 14s, you have more firepower than some bb4s (*cough*H39*cough*), and can frequently 2-shot bb5s.

It thus simply becomes a question of getting there. Conserve overheat, look for blind and/or distracted bbs, and go in for the kill when you see a chance. With its high firepower and slim profile, a properly piloted Fuso is extremely difficult for most opponents to handle once it gets in range.

Another thing to note is that it has more useable displacement than the Nagato, while the same number of crew slots. And frankly, if played right, you'll level faster in the Fuso. Since it hits harder and the bonus for doing damage against higher level BBs more than makes up for the above-level penalty, I actually stuck with it all the way to Yamato.
