You should check Angus SN info post in this forum and the corresponding information image:

http://www.vets-fleet.com/BNF/CSNG_V118A.png

But from my experience, it relies alot on good engineers so if you dont have like 4 atleast that are lvl 90+ then youre gonna want to go sort that out, because its slow as hell and that can be quite a major weakness.

You also want to be able to capitalise on its good AA capability so I hope you have decent gunners, and you should use the 2x 5.1" SD-2s which have a golden angle of 30 for their range, damage and moderate reload time.

The two guns for the Stalingrad are the lvl 89 12" triples which are high range, low damage and the lvl 91 16" triples which are shorter range but higher damage. Tactical information can be found in the link I posted provided by Angus.

Other than that, check other BB guides to improve your overall BB technique.

To be frank, all BB's (at least BB3 and up) rely on having good engineers.

I don't play SN or MN, but have played everything else; thus, having more than 4 ENGs is a major plus...and given that SN is so slow, having 5 or more ENGs seems prudent - a near must. Vetting them alot would also seem prudent.

My ideal SN BB6 (which would be much like my UK BB6) would be:

BO
2 main gunners
scout
6 ENGs with near 200+ vets
4 REPs (or 2 REPs and 2 AA)

Well yeah ofc, I was generallising for the sake of the topic. My emphasis was more on the GOOD part, meaning that even if you have the right number of engineers thats not going to be useful if theyre not the appropriate level, so going back a few ships or however far would be sufficient to boost the levels of support might be useful.

Hence why it is beyond smart to raise 2 BOs.
I always try to get my ENGs 10 levels above the boat I am in.

Stanlingrad itself is bad....ship

I used it for 2-3weeks but... it is worse than Lion I and H39

I use IM(Mariya) for better performance...

Stanlingrad has the lowest turning force in BB4s

and Shorter range than H39

this ship is just.... very very slow....

salvo damage is not bad, better than H39 but....

slow speed+BB4 range = food for BB5

can't even hit BB5s if they turn back and run(means good salvo damage is useless)

no chance for offensive use(compare to RN).... the ship is very weak and can't endure much damage like KM ships.

you should be defensive with this ship. so I advice you to grind 2 gunners for AA

use slingshot, draw enemys toward your team BB line and shoot down scouts
(but.... becuz of poor turning force and speed.... slingshot with Stalingrad is not easy)

stalingrad.... i love it yes my engys are low lvl i go 36 knots with the 12 inche and 34 or 35 with 16 but engys are in progress when i see any ship BB4+ i run and let them chase me give you a good range advantage expecialy with the 12 inche guns then when they retreat you go in and do it over and over again i usally get 60 to 80k+ with it

Lol learn to play, stally is a easy ship to play.

And are you implying that the h39 is bad?

All BB4s (ignoring SN/MN for the time being) are quite well balanced. Personally I love the H39, but I've found Iowa, Yammy, L1 and Vanny to be quite easy to adjust to and be successful with.

BB 4 was perfect balanced.

Only need short a little bit range of lv.89 gun and make it has less range than H 39.

However, they nerfed it.

Go for other nation dude.

BB 5 will make you cry.

Nope. misunderstanding becuz of my poor English :P

H39 is good ship I think it is the best BB4

and Stalin is not. This is what I meant.

and the ship was really bad becuz it was outranged by Iowa Yamato Lion I H39 when the ship is using 16" triples

but now it is buffed to have longer range then them and it is playable now :P

but!! Soyuz is now nerfed badly... so... again... fail
