Well, i have edited my idea: Since fuel is calculated on distance & fuel, there would be a option which let: - Automaticly go back to the carrier (current only option) - Give a warning that it suggest to return to the carrier, but it will NOT go back by itself (idea)

The plane returns automatically when it has a chance to return and land. There is no point making him return past the point where it can safely land back.

I think the best you can do is what you described on point 4: Give a warning when it's close to the point of no return, but let the player choose if he wants it to return or not.

Yes, but it still breaks formation when automaticly going back.
The plane still has enough fuel to land with 1/3 fuel, and with 2-3 screens away even 1/4

I think theirs a bit of miscommunication here.

Planes auto recall to the carrier when their Fuel Left is close to Distance to carrier. Select any airplane - the first number is the "fuel distance left" and the second number is the "fuel distance to carrier".

When those become near equivalent, the airplane heads back to the carrier. It's not dependent on fuel left, but distance and fuel.

However, having a "do or die" button would be nice.

here's a best suggestion, i know its in the old data, i just want to revive it,

REMOVE HALF FUEL AUTO RETURN ON F,B,A

its really bugs me, especially when i have a perfect formation on my tbs and reach half fuel, formation broke -.- (I manage my planes well but with lag spike sometimes, response having delay)

The current warning about "low on fuel" and returning to the CV should be changed. The easy solution is to just give a warning, but not change the aircraft's behavior.

I suggest that they institute a better Audio Warning; with individual squadrons being named, "Fighter Squadron #2 low on fuel", "Bomber Squadron # 6, low on fuel", Fighter squadron #4 OUT OF FUEL. MAYDAY!", "BOMBER SQUADRON #7 UNDER ATTACK!", "FIGHTER SQUADRON #2 ESCORTING (SHIP TYPE)", "Fighter Squadron #2, Enroute to Pos 23-66", "Fighter Squadron #5 Out of Ammo, returning to CV", etc.


Also, if they just didn't change the behavior of the squadron (i.e return to the ship), and they improved the audio warnings, then the player could decide to return the squadron to base or not.
