Just like which stats effect fighter performance, there is no definitive answer anywhere on the forums.  Should i class to squadron leader or leave them as ace?

I have searched, but i don't know if information is outdated and most posts on the topic give a variety of answers and leave the issues still open
 
Adalbert's Guide says no, but it also says the bomber stat is more important for fighters which is no longer true (I think)

So who can give me a definitive yes or no answer to this question...

Should i class my German 12+ BVE (100 vets) fighters to squadron leaders?

NO THEY ARE NOT.

Sailor growth loss doesnt overcome ability gain as far as true ability goes if you plan on more vets.

Follow the suggestion for your vets ammount.

Here's the story.
Squadron Leader fails before and after the CV patch.

It will remain that way, until SDE decide to fix their crap.

i rather think diference between a 200 vets SQD leader and a 200-250 vets figther its pretty minimal when both player micro good enough
you can bet for the small advantage that non classing will give you but if this ever gets fixed as the bombers stat did you will get a really crappy fighter
so its your choice

Here is the punch line: I dont think squadron leaders classed on time can get to 200 vets, and they'll still have less expert.

So unless you are playing totally free, don't class.

If you class KM and US correctly on time from Rookie - SQL - They will have 218vets at 40% if I am not mistaken, but definitely more than 200.

yes they can :) i saw a 6 pilots with 200 vets crew the other day just got in this event
